“Chateau de l'ile”
We got there late in the evening. The room was warm and the spare bed was ready. There was even a bathrobe for our little girl. Nice and quite. Great staff, helpful and professional.
“Extremely satisfied”
Perfect swemming pool
“Hotel d'excellent niveau”
Personnel charmant et disponible. Spa très agréable. Chambre douillette.
“Enchanting little find”
This hotel is a lovely hotel. In fact, it is one of the best luxury small hotels in the world. The food is amazing and top class, coupled with a lovely setting by the River Lille.
“Excellent experience - would definitely go again”
Excellent hotel - very comfortable and excellent facilities. Very thoughtful in providing several small presents for my 3 year old son. Thoroughly recommend. It is a little difficult to find but so long as you can find Ostwald, it's not too hard. (Then, you just find the church in the middle and you are within a few hundred yards.) Also, the grounds are nice but not as extensive as you might think from the description. If you want to go walking or cycling, you really need to leave the hotel grounds.
“A great place to stay in Strasbourg”
I had a lovely stay at the Chateau d'Ile Hotel. It is one of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World group and is just fantastic. It is not a touristy-type of hotel and seems to be a place where locals come to eat on nice occasions. I ordered room service breakfast which was pricey (22 euros/person) but worth it. And, the spa with sauna, steambath, and swimming pool is just divine. The town of Ostwald is essentially a part of Strasbourg and central Strasbourg is literally 10-15 minutes away by car. You do really need to have a car to stay here, though, because it is a short drive away from the nearby attractions. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel.
“Beautifully built hotel, quiet surroundings, friendly service”
Beautiful built Hotel, deluxe but not opressing, good for a family trip and surely for a business meeting. 15 minutes from downtown Strassbourg is perfect for a quiet night rest, however a car is a must. Breakfast buffet could have a bit more choice for the price. Service was very friendly: Despite a wedding on our first night, we were treated quickly at dinner and a smile at all times.
