“Small but comfortable”

An older small hotel that has been refurbished. The room we were in was small but adequate for two people. The continental breakfast was fine, and although the hotel has no restaurant there are several only a few steps away.

“Convenient location for sightseeing”

Enjoyed the weeklong stay, the friendly service, closeness to the beach, waterfront and park. Breakfast sufficient, need to be better supervised. Front desk clerk, who looks after it is usually busy checking out guests who are leaving. Someone else should be assigned to look after it.

“Pleasantly surprised”

Though the room was quite small, it was clean and the beds were so comfortable. The bathroom was immaculate and the shower had great pressure. The continental breakfast was OK, though not alot of options. Overall, a good choice.

“Red Rum, Red Rum!”

I was moderately satisfied with this hotel. Given the age of the building, I think it has been well maintained. Cleanliness and Staff friendliness are the strongest attributes to this hotel. My only complaint- ( and this doesn't directly apply to the Hotel, but other tenants should be fore-warned): Noise is easily traveled in the area, and doors slam shut when you exit your door, which creates a lot of noise and woke me up, when tenants walked in and out of their room's multiple times in the 3:00 -4:00 morning. Plus- The basement floor is uncanny similar to the Hotel corridor in the Movie " The Shining" Red Rum, Red Rum.

“One night sleep”

Quite a few stairs to climb to get to second floor. Rooms are small, but quite adequate.

“Unimpressive”

Not only was it the smallest room we've ever stayed in, this "Waterfront" hotel, offered a wonderful view...of the LCBO across the street and the patio of the bar/club located beneath us. If you're in town for one night it's clean and there's a complimentary shuttle to the casino, but we certainly would not have stayed a second night.

“Bad Breakfast”

Aside from uncommonly small rooms, the morning breakfast did not match the many other Quality Inns where I have stayed.

“windows don't open”

Although the location is convenient, the rooms are extremely small. Our smoking room had a king bed, which took up 90% of the room. The windows (window) don't open at all, ridiculous for a smoking room.

“Not for the claustophobic”

We literally walked into a closet. There was a king size bed in a room with 6 inches on all sides to spare. That was it. We had to walk sideways to move from the door entrance to the bathroom on the other side of the room (thanks for THAT Mr. Space Designer). The tv was about 25 years old (no stereo feature) and felt like it was sitting on your feet, the coffee machine was useless, no glasses available to drink from - only tiny plastic ones, on and on. Bathroom was average. This is not a lakefront hotel either.... far from the lake --honest. Your choice of views were the parking lot or the building across the street. Tiniest most depressing hotel room I've ever stayed in. I cried , my husband was so embarrassed. There was nowhere else to stay in the area as there was a show at Casinorama that evening so everything was booked. There is a reason why hotel rooms are cheap. This place explains that.
