The hotel was nice, and the staff was very friendly and helpful.
COMFORT owners should have hired a different architect, as there
are a number of silly goof ups in the design and its layout. Some
concern for the elderly should have been considered.
It was close to where I needed to be. Hot tub was broken, apparently it has been for a long time. The staff joked about it. If they aren't getting it fixed, they should take it off their website. Room was average, couch was hard, but my daughter was able to sleep on it. Found a slipper and ping pong balls under the bed.
The location was easy to find and reach. The location was close to Snow Valley Resort where we had to go to.The lady at the check in gave us a map to snow valley. The scrampled eggs were fully cooked and not runny like some other hotels we have stayed at. The hotel was very full due to a baseball tournament but it was quiet and we had a great night sleeping.
Situated on the western shore of Lake Simcoe about 60 km north of Toronto, Barrie is a thriving city with much to entertain visitors. Sun seekers flock to its beaches in the summer months, and in the winter the surrounding ski resorts and snowmobile trails offer plenty of excitement. The historic downtown area is fun to wander around, and there are a number of festivals held throughout the year.
