“Great Hotel in Barcelona”

Really enjoyed my stay at the hotel, friendly staff and very conveniently located, very close to The Ramblas and a short walk from Beach areas. Very clean and quiet.

“Great for a budget”

I stayed at the Parallel for a weekend visiting by myself. It is a modest hotel in a pretty good location only a few minutes walk to Las Ramblas and only a block from the metro. My room was small which was expected, but was well kept with all the typical hotel amenities (Safe, Phone, TV, minibar, desk). It even had free Wi-Fi, although it was having trouble the whole time I was there, complicated by the fact that I use a Mac. If you're looking for something better than a hostel, but you are on a budget, this is your place.

“Excellent location - very impressed”

This is the second time that I have stayed at Hotel Parallel and would always choose to stay there for future trips to Barcelona. About 20 mins walk from La Ramblas and 30 mins from the harbour. Hotel is close to chain eateries (Pizza Hut, KFC etc)as well as an excellent Chinese Restaurant. I am sure there are good restaurants close by too, although I didn't need to check any out. Small general store (for water , soft drinks, beer takeout etc) 2 mins walk up the street. Friendly and helpful staff and good value for money, although see tip below regarding breakfast. Room clean and all facilities worked....IF YOU ARE A SMOKER, LIKE ME, THEY STILL PROVIDE ROOMS WHERE SMOKING IS ALLOWED, ALTHOUGH I DON'T KNOW WHAT FUTURE LEGISLATION REGARDING SMOKING IS PLANNED IN SPAIN GENERALLY....To summarise, I would highly recommend this hotel.

“Would definately stay here again!”

The hotel was nice and clean. The room was a good size. Staff were friendly and helpful. Free internet definately a bonus. The location is great, good area and only about 15 min walk from Las Ramblas and 10 min from the Port area. Parellel metro station is really near.

“Nous y reviendrons !”

Excellent accueil, le parking (n'appartenant pas à l'hôtel) est en face! Nous avions retenu une chambre et nous avons eu une suite pour le même prix. Sdb grande et ultra propre! Calme. Petit déjeuner au buffet.

Nothing spectacular but with free wi-fi and a good location it is a great value.

“Hôtel Parallel Barcelone : très bien situé !!”

Je suis partie avec une amie à Barcelone et nous avons séjourné durant une semaine dans cet hôtel ! et nous le conseillons vivement : propre, personnel agréable, et surtout il est proche de tout, très rapide par le métro (station Parallel Ligne 2 et 3 à 2mn à pied de l'hôtel), ligne directe pour aller à la Sagrada Familia, pour aller à la plage (port olympique) un changement à faire, très simple et rapide, direct pour aller au parc de MontJuic par le Téléféric, etc. Vraiment très bien. Seul petit inconvénient qui serait à noter l'avenue Parallel qui est l'une des plus grandes de Barcelone donc un peu bruyante mais supportable !

Staff at reception were most helpfull and accomodating. Hotel in goodd position to see city withou to much 'hustle and bustle'

“Short stay - i wish it could have been longer”

The hotel was in a good position, just a 10 minute walk to the Port end of the Ramblas. The nearest metro station was approx 50 yards along the road so excellently placed. The room was clean, but a little tired with some marks on the wall where cases had been moved around. I found the room quiet, as there was double glazed window so I couldn't hear the street outside, which was busy. The reception staff were excellent - very helpful and knowledgable. I did not have breakfast and stayed at the hotel one night only. Tapas bars and fast food restaurants line the street outside, so no problem finding somewhere to eat
