“Excellent hotel”

The hotel is in the middle of Las Ramblas making it very accessible by foot to lots of sites. There is also a metro stop very close by which is useful for attractions further afield.

“Ideal place to stay on Las Ramblas”

We must give this hotel top marks in all respects. The location was perfect, being about half-way along Las Ramblas, ideal to pop back to during the day if necessary. We took a train from the airport and then the Metro to the nearest station, Liceu, just yards away from the hotel, but found it a bit tiring heaving the suitcases up & down all the steps in the Metro, so on the return journey we took the special airport bus from the east side of Placa de Catalunya direct to the airport, recommended. The bus leaves every 6 minutes and wasn't many euros. We stayed bed & breakfast only, but the hotel's buffet was excellent; cold cooked meats, cheeses, croissants, pain au chocolat, rolls, sliced bread for toast, yogurt, fresh & tinned fruit, cereals, warm (the only slight criticism!)bacon, sausages and scrambled egg, and as much orange juice, tea & coffee as you wanted. Breakfast was from 7am to a very civilised 11am. We stayed for three nights and the towels were changed daily & bed linen once during our stay. We missed having tea/coffee making facilities in the room for early morning drinks but on the whole that was a small price to pay for the other benefits of the accommodation.

“Too Dang Good!!”

I'm hoping that everyone doesn't find out about this hotel as I found it by fluke and it is the best place for the money that I have ever stayed in Barcelona!

“Cool hotel in a great location”

The hotel sits right on the Rambla- very cool, but you would expect it to be loud right? Not at all- the balcony doors were sound proof! It's a great middle point location between the port and the big shopping areas so you can go back to the hotel before going to other parts of the city. Only negative was the breakfast was not included and at 14 euros, kind of expensive- but there was a lot of food and it was delicious.

“Great hotel”

Located half way down Las Ramblas, almost directly opposite the Placa Reial, we couldn't have asked for a better location with which to explore this part of town! Las Ramblas is a brillant and buzzing street - however, for this very reason I would advise getting a room at the back of the hotel, rather than on the street. We were given the choice of street view or not, and chose the street view - it was great to look down on the hustle and bustle of Las Ramblas from our room... but we didn't get any sleep as the noise from the street didn't stop all night! The hotel was gorgeous - historic and grand, but with very modern, clean rooms. The staff were friendly. We would most definitely stay there again.
