“Loved It - Ola Barcelona and Ola Regina”
Immaculate hotel with fresh white linens, hardwood floors, glass and marble bathrooms, helpful staff and prime location.
“Great service”
Hotel front desk was very accomodating. Arrived at 9 a.m. from the cruise ship and they allowed us to check in since the room was ready.
“Definitely going back!”
We loved everything about the hotel. It was very well located, clean, courteous and helpful staff. The only thing that we did not like is that we were on our honeymoon and even though we informed it to the front desk personnel, we were assigned one of the smallest rooms in our floor.
“Lovely Hotel, Excellent Location”
The hotel was really lovely overall. We arrived at about 9 AM and only had to wait about 10 minutes for our room to be ready, even though we figured we probably couldn't get in until the afternoon. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The lobby/lounge's modern decor was nice and the complimentary internet lounge was convenient. The room was very clean with a minimalist look and a nice television. The beds were comfy and our family-sized room had a separate alcove with two more beds in it. The bathroom was huge and tiled with marble. The location of this hotel is ideal. It's on a fairly quiet street, but it's right next to Placa Catalunya, a hop-on/hop-off bus stop and the end of La Rambla, so access to the rest of Barcelona was convenient. I would definitely stay here again.
“we wouldn't hesitate to go back”
We booked the Regina on the strength of expedia/tripadviser reviews and it lived up to our expectations. Comfortable rooms, helpful staff, free use of online computers, and perfect location. Didn't bother with breakfast - a bit expensive at 16 euros. We used the Zurich on the corner of Placa Catalunya and it was fine. Be careful though, we thought the bottle of wine and crisps/nuts on the table in our room were a welcome gift, but they are in fact part of the minibar.
“Great Hotel and Location”
We loved this hotel, elegant yet affordable. Terrific location--short stroll to Plaza Cataluna and Las Ramblas. Banks and restaurants nearby, convenient to the port. Short walk to Casa Batllo. Short subway ride to Montjuic and La Sagrada Familia. The room was very comfortable for our family of four (two adults, two children), especially by European standards. This would be a great location for any type of trip to this glorious city, Barcelona!
“Excellent Hotel & Location”
Wonderful stay at the Regina Hotel in Barcelona. It was very well maintained, clean and they have an outstanding location near, but not right on La Rambla. Loved the Starbucks just around the corner too! Good for families.
“Great central place to stay”
The Hotel Regina is well located at Placa Catalunya. The accommodation is clean, comfortable and the rooms sufficiently spacious. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great hotel in Barcelona.
“Everything you want in Barcelona!”
The hotel itself is an amazing location, just beside Plaza Catalunya , and it is very well designed, just like in the pictures. The receptionists are friendly and speak good English. The problem was the room they offered us in our arrival. It was tinny, and with the view to a wall. As this was a non-smoking room and I smoke, I asked for a smoking room and what a surprise! Smokers get MUCH better rooms, much bigger and with nicer views. Good that we didn't have to fight for it, we just requested and they transferred us. The hotel is close to everything, with La Rambla, Plaza Catalunya and metro stations a few meters away. You can't get bored in this place! It was nice to come back from a whole day walking around, have a nice bath, wear the robes and slippers, and just relax in the room. A comfortable, clean, recently refurnished room. Any doubts we had, we would just go to the receptionists and they would always be really helpful and kind. Something not very common to find. I won't even talk about the price... It's the best value for money I could find in the area. Of course you can find something MUCH fancier, but you will also pay MUCH more for it. If you ask me if I would come back there, I wouldn't even think twice!!! That's THE place to enjoy everything Barcelona has to offer.
“Good hotel in an excellent location”
Comfortable hotel with clean rooms if rather small. Hotel is well placed for hop-on, hop-off buses. We used Barcelona Bus (red ones) but commentary was poor. Perhaps the other company are better? Also well placed for using the Aerobus from the airport. The final stop of the bus is in Plaza de la Catalunya and it is a less than 5 minute walk to the hotel. (Hotel is on the opposite side of the square to the Aerobus stops - make for the Habitat sign). Small supermarket opposite the hotel for water, etc. Try Matamala restaurant for dinner - excellent! It is only a few minutes from the hotel - reception can give you directions.
