“Trés bien”
Bel hôtel bien situé pour un court séjour touristique. L'accueil est un peu anonyme mais trés professionnel ... pas vraiment un hôtel de charme mais plutôt un bel hôtel luxueux. Les chambres sont trés agréables, mieux qu'un Mercure, du niveau d'un bel Holliday Inn. A noter la proximité de la station de métro/rail qui mène à l'aéroport, le trajet étant possible avec un billet 'forfait 1 jour' métro/bus à 5.80 EUR.
“Great location”
This hotel is located just off Passeig de Gracia, one of the main streets of Barcelona. A walking distance from Playa de Catalunya, where the tourist buses depart, and where the Aerobus will drop you off from the airport. (You can also take it there to go back to the airport, for 5 euros. Now that is convenience! Close to the hotel are also two of Gaudi's masterpieces. Plenty of good restaurants close by, and unless breakfast is included in your deal with the hotel, just skip it and have a less expensive breakfast nearby at one of the numerous cafes. I would go back to this hotel anytime.
“Great location, perfectly modern hotel”
It's perhaps a bit sketchier to go budget or mid-grade on hotels in Europe than it is in the States. One ends up with a fairly wide range in quality. The St. Moritz is definitely at the top of that range. Amenities are 100% modern. Rooms are perfectly clean and well air conditioned. Location near Plaza de Catalonia, two metro stations, and direct lines to both business locations and Sagrada Familia is very nearly perfect.
“Pleasantly Suprised”
Booked this hotel for a stag do. Basically I was more worried about the location and the price than the reviews and condition. I was very happily suprised at how good the hotel was and I'd definitely stay here again if I'm back in Barcelona.

“Good location close to La Rambla and Plaza Cataunya - great staff, great hotel”
Although the hotel is due for a refurb this summer 2009 it is still in good condition. Great location just around the corner from Passeig de Gracia metro station and 5-10 mins walk from the famous La Rambla. We stayed in a twin room with a balcony view over the street. We didn't eat in the restaurant for any meals so can't comment. A tip we were given was to ask the breakfast waitress just to charge for what we would take from the buffet instead of charging full price which is quite expensive. The room had a fully stocked mini bar and very comfortable with table and chairs, desk etc. Great bathroom with bath, shower, bidet and hairdryer. Wifi is free and very fast. We stayed for 5 nights and would go again. Booked a special rate through Expedia.
“Excellent hotel in ideal location”
Well furnished rooms, comfortable beds, very friendly and helpful staff, and a central location. However breakfast is expensive (although the VIPS store is within easy walking distance, where you can get good food, drinks, books, etc.), there is a daily charge of 6 Euros for the safe in the room and they are unable to provide a duvet instead of woolen blankets (which trigger my asthma).
“Hotel St Moritz”
Hotel proche du coeur historique de Barcelone (10mn à pied). Bel hotel, hall un peu "classique", déco vieillote, mais très propre. Nous avons aimé: la propreté de la chambre et ses aménagements. Bon lit, déco sobre et moderne, salle de bains bien aménagée, TV grand écran plasma, rideaux occultant parfaitement la lumière extérieure. Très bon rapport qualité/prix Nous avons moins aimé: le bruit de la rue (audible bien que nous étions au 4eme étage), l'absence d'aménagements que l'on pourrait souhaiter dans un hotel 4 étoiles (salle de fitness, piscine....), mais pas vraiment indispensable pour ceux qui viennent visiter la ville !
“Great location, reasonable price”
Location was great. Staff were helpful. The rooms were small but very clean and nicely fitted out. The restaurant didn't look great. We didn't try the breakfast as it didn't look particularly appealing and it was expensive. There are plenty of other places to go nearby though so it wasn't a problem at all. In terms of a place to stay for a short city break I would definitely recommend this hotel.
“Would stay there again.”
Nice hotel, great location. Next time in Barcelona would stay there again.
