Comfortable and close to the Placa de CatalunyaPosted 6-Oct-2014
Stayed here post-cruise. Only $10 cab fare from the port. Neat, clean and impressive. We easily walked to restaurants, bars, theatre. Room was very comfortable and the breakfast buffet was delicious!! We would not hesitate to stay again or recommend to others.

Clean and comfortablePosted 2-Oct-2014
Location was fantastic for seeing Barcelona on foot however the very busy Placa Catalunya is around the corner. Great location for shopping. Room was incredibly clean and comfortable. Hotel is well maintained. No fitness center and wifi was quite slow.

Pros: Very clean, modern and spacious room Very friendly staff Excellent location
Cons: Wifi at times randomly disconnected
Location: Perfect location...Close to major sites and metro stations Airport bus 5 min. walk. ( Buses run frequently) Near restaurants, cafés, supermarket
Stayed 8 nights at this excellent hotel. We were upgraded to a larger room. The room/ bath was very clean, modern and spacious. The bed was comfortable. There was no street noise even though we faced the Main Street. It was nice to have a small fridge in the room. Would highly recommend this hotel.

A Most Pleasant StayPosted 29-Sep-2014
Pros: See above
Cons: Lower the price of breakfast
Location: See above
The hotel's convenient location is outstanding: a half-block from a major metro station, a few blocks from the Airport bus pickup (6 euros), and very close to the top end of the Ramblas. The hotel is situated in the midst of numerous restaurants and elegant shops and a few blocks from the Block of Discord, with its diverse architectural styles. The hotel itself is spotlessly clean, elegant, and classy--well worth the reasonable price. And it's remarkably quiet, especially considering its location on a busy avenue. The only drawback is the price of the breakfast: 14 euros is a bit steep, but it's optional. Other than that, I highly recommend the hotel.

What a fabulous Gem!!Posted 20-Sep-2014
Pros: I loved everything in the Hotel Granvia----from its architecture to the decor to the helpful , polite staff, it was all wonderful.
Cons: I can't think of anything that could be better!!!
Location: You are in walking distance to Catalunya Square and RAMBLAS, where you can catch the hop on, hop off buses, the public buses, the metro!
My friends had stayed at the Hotel Granvia several years ago, so since I was going to be in Barcelona for four nights I decided that this was the place for me too. The hotel is beyond gorgeous( it was originally a mansion), with beautiful details, and it has been completely renovated and updated. The location is perfect, smack in the middle of the city, in walking distance to most of the points of interest, and access to public transportation. After walking or touring all day, it is the haven to return to for afternoon tea or a cup of cupuccino, which is offered to guests from 5:00-7:00P.M.
