“Stylish with gracious staff”
Interesting dramatic interior atrium with fountains and sculptures. Fabulous roof top terrace bar and restaurant. Rooms nicely decorated. Very accommodating staff. Unexpected by greatly appreciated touches like complementary wine, flowers, and candy.
“Terrific and imaginative hotel”
Just had a wonderful weekend in this quirky and beautiful hotel. A treat fot the eyes and excellent service to boot!
“trip to Barcelona”
The hotel was located in an excellent part of Barcelona,close to everything and for most part the staff was helpful.The room was clean and good size,the roof top had a good restaurant,pool, sauna and small gymn.Walking distance too many restaurants and tapas restaurants. Would reccomend.
“Great location”
Pros: Walking distance to all sights, One block off Gracia blvd (main street) in upscale neighborhood, great service, roof top bar (ask for bar tender Tampa), architecture is stunning and lots of hot water. Cons: Shoe box size rooms, the power is turned off when you leave the room (eco friendly) including the AC and a very small tv that you can't watch from the bed.
“Perfect in Barcelona !”
We recently visited Barcelona...stayed at the Claris on a friend's recommendation who had stayed there twice before...perfect. Rooftop pool...and the service was "can't miss". We discovered a few very good high quality reasonable restaurants in the area...and would certainly stay here again. The only thing you might skip unless in a rush...is the breakfast buffet...very very nice...all you can eat...but at $21...a bit pricey. The place was all quality...100%
“"Super Cool"”
Claris is a urban oasis in the crowded Barcelona center of town. The urban chic feel, including roof top bar/drinks and hip feeling lobby is all secondary to the "A LIST" conceirge whose name I cannot remember but who created a Barcelona for us that would have been just another European city. Trust her restaurant and nightlife choices over anything you have read or heard. In a city where dinner starts at 11pm -- nothing is more important. The only negative is not to expect too much from the rooms which are generally long and narrow and therefore a bit dark for a 5star accomodation. But stay there anyway -- it's the right place to be.
“Wonderful location”
My only complaint is that our room did not have an outside window. We faced an interior atrium making the room very dark. I should have requested another room. Everything else was wonderful
“Excellent Stay”
This hotel was in an excellent location. It has a beautiful pool and restaurant on the roof. The Concierge was amazing. She even booked us tickets to La Sagrada Familia so we didn't have to wait in line for hours in the hot heat. Her recommendations for restaurants were amazing. Beautiful time to be had. I would definitely stay again. Very clean, very friendly, and walking distance within many of the tourist destinations and great shopping.
“Great Barcelona Hotel”
Had a great time staying at the Claris during a recent trip to Barcelona. The staff were extremely helpful and professional. The concierge made us dinner reservations for two great restaurants (one a hip nightclub on Barcelonetta), and after checkout, they allowed us to leave our luggage for a few hours so that we could enjoy the last leg of our stay. The hotel pool (on the roof) was beautiful, and the rooms were well maintained. The location is also great--about 7 blocks north of La Ramblas, and 2 blocks south of Avenue Diagonal (RIGHT by two of Gaudi's famous houses--both must-sees).
