“Great place to stay”
This hotel was perfect for us - it is centrally located, 2 minutes walk to the heart of trendy Borne district. The hotel is almost like an apartment, service being minimal but entirely sufficient. We stayed in a loft - excellent for both couples and families. Free bottle of cava was a very nice welcoming gift. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone.
“We will never stay anywhere else in Barcelona”
We stayed here in February 2008 and it is the most perfect location we have stayed in for a city break. The rooms are huge and airy and are of a very contemporary design. Close to all the main attractions but away from the main hustle and bustle by virtue of the fact that it is 50 metres down a side street but still right in the center of the history of the city. You walk out of the door and feel like you've gone back in history. La Rambla, the cathedral and the Picasso museum are all a few minutes walk away and the Sagrada Familia is 6 euros by taxi. Absolutely perfect!!
“Hotel Boria ( The hidden joy)”
Hotel Boria is situated in the Gothic Quarters session of Barcelona; however, there is no need to be alarmed...It was quite safe. The hotel is down one of the crooked, small streets that the quarters are famous for. I thoroughly enjoyed the nearness to La Rambla...
“WHAT A GEM OF A HOTEL”
Got back yesterday after 3 night stay over xmas 2007. Would suggest the 4th floor as noise at night echoes through small streets but perfectly ok. no restaurant but you are in the middle of a nice area for small local shops ie. bakers , chocolate shops , small supermarkets... only 5 mins walk to las Ramblas and the best food market i have ever seen, and i have seen a few. Look forward to returning during summer. Highly recomend
“Great Hotel, highly recommend”
The Boria BCN is the best. Everyone was extremely helpful and spoke ENGLISH. We had a Junior Suite which included a Fridge and Microwave. Location was right in the middle of eveything, with the Metro just around the corner.
“Brilliant hotel”
We went to Barcelona for our anniversary and weren't disappointed with the hotel. They put us (it must have been an upgrade) in the most enormous suite I've been in, and there was chilled cava waiting for us. The staff were polite and helpful throughout. It's not a big hotel so not for you if you want a pool and restaurant etc but if you want a classy place to stay at a reasonable price right in the centre of town, it's well worth a look.
“Excellent Hotel”
Fabulous, large well-appointed suite, well situated for sight-seeing;good restaurants in immediate area. Can't recommend it highly enough!!
“Wonderful!”
Absolutely blew my expectations out of the water. One thing to note is that the place is kind of hard to find so I would suggest getting a taxi to get there. Otherwise, the location is great.
“First Class”
This hotel was luxurious, it was like staying in a loft apartment. The only drawback was the television which showed no English speaking programmes except BBC News, not something a 8yr old wants to see. Also there seems to be a big problem with crime, especially bag snatching, there are alot of dark alleys and signs showing someone running away with a bag, so be careful. But overall I was impressed with the hotel and the staff are fantastic, so would go back.
“Superb base in the heart of Barcelona”
Extremely pleased with my choice of hotel. Our family room was finished to the highest spec and was kept immaculate throughout our stay. The hotel was very well located within strolling distance of La Rambla but hid in a quiet back street. I will definitely stay here on future trips to Barcelona.
