“Lovely design, great layout, comfy bed”
I stayed in Hotel Boria for 1 day & night (working on laptop during the day, out at night) and it was perfect for my requirements. The room ('The Loft', room 101) was beautifully designed and had big floor to ceiling windows (with shutters and additional blackout blinds, so it was pretty quiet - the street it looks over is pedestrianised too). The drains smelt a bit but par for the course. The hotel is quite difficult to find as it doesn't have a sign outside the door - it looks a bit like a library or an office from the outside. Very helpful receptionist during the day, less so in the evening.
“Sweet Chris 85”
The hotel is beautiful. for check in we had to wait a little bit about 1 1/2 hrs until the room was ready ( it was about 8 am). but by the time we came back from walking around and eating breakfast they called us to tell us it was ready and they even took all of out luggage to our room. the hotel is clean, spacious and comfortable. i would stay there again the next time i visit. the only thing is that they stove was not for use (for safety reasons, that what they told us) but it is a fully functioning kitchen besides that but we just ate and warmed up the left over lol . i am glad that i chose this hotel. would recommend it to friends.

“Great hotel”
The hotel was difficult to find as the taxi driver dropped us off on the main road at the end of the alley and told us it was down on the right hand side. We actually walked past the door before doubling back to find the unmarked entrance. The room was not available, to be fair it was 9:00 a.m., so we left the bags and set about our day. The room was excellent, it surpassed our expectations. It was very comfortable and well appointed and met all of our needs. The receptionist was first class, she gave us all types of advice on restaurants and local events. The hotel is in the Gothic area however you need to ensure you have your wits about you if you return late. As mentioned above the hotel is down an alley, and while relatively busy, as in any major city, you just need to make sure you are careful. I was a bit noisy in the wee hours of the morning with trash removal and the pigeons that nest in the rafter area may annoy guests since at dawn you could hear them cooing. My view was that this all added to the authenticity of the hotel. Interestingly, the taxi that took us to the airport the following morning actually drove down the alley to meet us so it was not an issue when we were leaving. I would happily stay here if I went back.
“Hidden Gem in Ciutat Vella”
Great hotel in a fantastic location (albeit a bit hard to find). The rooms are full apartments with a large living room, kitchen etc. One negative is that they do not staff the hotel very well after hours. Between about 23:00 and 6:00 you may have someone who doesn't speak any English. Other than that - SUPER!
“Excellent Choice”
Excellent service - terrific rooms (actually suites) very clean
“Impressive small hotel in Gothic Quarter”
Very nice!! Modern furnishings. Loved having a fridge and microwave. Plasma TV in bedroom.Close to everything. Very safe even though the area is know for pick pockets.
“une vrai suite dans le quartier historique”
Intimité et luxe de bon gout
“Great Time looking forward to next time!”
We had a great time in Barcelona, the Boris was an ideal location. Rooms were very good - especially the kitchen area - we made our own leasurely breakfast in our room before a full days sightseeing. Very clean and modern with good toiletries. An ideal base to see all the sights.
“Good Hotel”
Good Hotel in good location if you do not want the usual hotel facilities, bar, restaurant etc.Our room was more of suite, it had 2 bedrooms & could sleep 4.Very spacious. It is noisy but do not forget it is in the middle of a city !

Ciutat Vella, Barcelona, Spain: Barcelona's Old Town, the Ciutat Vella takes in the Barri Gòtic and the world-famous promenade of Las Ramblas. The former is the city's medieval core, a maze of atmospheric alleyways clustered around the splendid Gothic Cathedral. Quirky specialist shops and characterful bars and eateries abound. Don't miss the Museu Picasso and the Museu d'Història de la Ciutat, as much for their palatial settings as their content.
