“Great Hotel - Excellent Staff”
We stayed at Hotel Casa Fuster in Barcelona for four nights in September 2007 and we're very pleased with the hotel. While not inexpensive, the quality of this hotel definitely lived up to the price. The rooms were typically European in that they weren't overly large, but were extremely well equipped with many amenities, large bathroom, etc. We also had a great experience with the hotel staff. They were extremely helpful in tracking down and retrieving a piece of lost luggage for us - we had an update every time we walked past the front desk without even asking - and they recommended several great restaurants in the area. Overall, a great stay.
“AMAZING 5 STAR HOTEL BUT A BIT POSH”
The Casa Fuster is beautiful, classy, and amazing. Its also stuffy and ridiculously expensive..eg breakfast eggs on toast $24 Euros!. The prices are so disproportionate to Barcelona that no one seems to be using the beautiful bar and restaurant when there is so much available in the city. This resulted in the hotel lacking any atmosphere. The staff are very helpful and friendly and we had 4 (not 2) dressing gowns in our room!. The beds were fantastic theres a pillow menu, chocolates in the room and water, marble bathroom, fantastic! The location is perfect, a ten minute walk to the bustling centre but far enough away to be very quiet and quite an exclusive area amongst shops by Gucci, Boss, Burberry and D & G. Not worth the money just to sleep in really.
“Situation idéale.”
Situation centrale parfaite, parking juste en face mais hyper cher, station de métro proche. Attention également aux tarifs des services de l'hôtel.
“An oasis of calm”
Stayed at the Casa Fuster Hotel in Barcelona and found it delightful. The hotel itself is stunningly appointed. OK so the rooms aren't the largest I've ever stayed in but the beds were supremely comfortable and the bathroom was beautiful (as was the view from the balcony). The gym and fitness suite mentioned on the hotel website is a little bit of an afterthought as is the roof top pool which isn't really for swimming in but makes a nice place to go for a dip to cool off in the heat of the day. The staff were always polite and nothing appeared to be too much for them. The position of the hotel also cannot be improved. It's mere minutes stroll away from some of the most popular tourist sights in Barcelona and a stone's throw from a metro station. All in all I can't wait to go back there.
“very nice hotel”
My friend and I had spent a week in Barcelona staying with friends in a sparce apt. It was cheap and did the job, but we wanted to stay the last night in a nice luxury hotel. We saw Casa Fuster while walking by it and it was in a beautiful building. The hotel and staff were great. Spoke great english and were very helpful and accomodating. We got the basic room, but it was really nice. Robes, slippers, sunken tub, flat screen TV with lots of channels (for europe!). Beds were on the firm side, but not too bad. They also give you a large selection of pillows if you request (7 choices I believe!!). Location is great because it's not too far from the Rambla (and noise), but an easy Metro ride there (Metro is 2 small blocks away). It's also at the base of a great neighborhood called Gracia. Walk around it, it's really cool! All in all, the hotel was really great for our last night there. And the Expedia price was awesome. I really recommend this hotel.
“First Class Hotel and Staff”
The room was well appointed with all the conveniences. We had a standard room, but even got a room with a Julliett Balcony overlooking a courtyard. Excellent service. Restaurant had first class meals. Can't say enough good things about the Bell and Baggage Staff. Thoughtful, clients addressed always by name. Would help with some of the most smallest issues to make your stay wonderful.
“Among the best in Barcelona”
Have stayed at several Barcelona Hotels. Casa Fuster is definately one of the best ... very friendly and helpful staff, great rooms, comfy beds, quiet and great location. Cool champagne bar (cava bar) in the lobby.
“An excellent luxury hotel”
A lovely hotel - an architectural landmark of Barcelona - and only opened in 2004. Lovely modernist (art deco) decoration, attentive and helpful staff. Lovely gourmet restaurant. Go there before mid-August and you may catch Woody Allen playing with his jazz band in the bar. It is a little way from the Ramblas, but near all the posh shops and a couple of Gaudi buildings.
“Beautiful!”
Great service, beautiful architecture, wonderful food, great bar.
“Fantastic Luxury Hotel”
The Casa Fuster has an excellent location, just at the top of Barcelona's high-end shopping district. Service was excellent, with a smooth friendly check-in, and helpful bell-hop to take you to the room. Rooms are not large, but excellently appointed. The bathroom was fantastic, with double sink and whirlpool bath. We also had a balcony with views over Gaudi's Casa Familia. Concierge offered tourist advice and excellent recommendations for dinner, and the bar downstairs is worth a visit, despite it's high prices. Overall, and excellent hotel, even at the relatively high price.
