“Excellent”
Hotel is easily accessible, in a very nice neighborhood, close to central Barcelona attractions, easy access to and from airport to bus and subway lines, with nice local cafe's for breakfast or a snack nearby. Staff was very helpful and courteous.
“A good central place to stay”
This is a good 3* hotel with reasonable sized rooms in a very good location for sight-seeing, close to Playa Catalunya, the Modernista architecture to the north and Las Ramblas. We had a triple room at the back of the hotel. The room was quite spacious. It was at the back of the hotel overlooking coutyards and balconies of residential buildings and therefore extremely quiet.
“Great choice”
The Caledonian is in a great location. It is also near to bus and metro stops so it is easy to reach other neighborhoods of Barcelona. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and quiet.

Excellent Hôtel, personnel très agréable. Proximité du métro excellent pour se rendre aux lieux touristiques. Si vous aimez marcher vous découvrirer Barcelone à pied à partir de cet Hôtel. Excellent souvenir, très bon weekend de trois jours.
“a splendid hotel”
Centrally located - most touristy places are within walking distance but only two minutes from the metro for those who prefer public transport. Thoroughly double-glazed to keep out trafiic noise, very effective heating and air-conditioning unit. Large room with good storage space; large very comfortable bed.

“A great base for your trip”
We found this hotel to be very clean and in good condition. The staff were friendly and spoke good english. Our room overlooked the main road so it was a bit noisy at night and the walls are thin so could hear others moving around and having a bath! We had forgotten a electrical adapter but they have a draw full at reception so its worth asking. We stayed for 4 nights which was fine, if staying longer it might be not such a good hotel as there was very limited storage space in the room for clothes. We paid for the breakfast 1 morning which I thought was pretty good - 13 euros for self service, all you can eat - but if wanting just a quick snack breakfast eating out is better. All in all, a good hotel that we would definately choose again.
“Very impressed”
Hotel was within easy walking distance of Las Ramblas and many other "tourist" locations. Plenty of cafes, bars & restaurants in the immediate area. We found the hotel staff very pleasant and helpful, the room was spacious and clean and very quiet considering we overlooked a major road junction! Metro, rail and bus stations were located nearby and the staff were informative on which routes were best. Thoroughly enjoyable three-day break. Too much to see in one trip, can't wait to go back.
“terrific location, clean and comfortable”
This hotel is an easy walk to the metro and a very short metro ride from wonderful restaurants and museums. The neighbourhood itself was good, a good breakfast place next door and place to buy water, etc just a couple of doors away. The room and bathroom were very clean and the desk staff was very helpful with restaurant bookings and getting a taxi. Would stay here again.
“Great value for money”
For a 3 star hotel, this was excellent value for money. Reception were helpful and polite and the rooms were clean and modern. The location was fantastic and close to some nice restaurants. Definately good value for money. They were also able to accomodate 3 of us comfortably in one room. We didn't eat breakfast at the hotel so can't comment on the food.
