“Good tradeoff of price, location and room quality”
I was initially worried that the hotel was too far from downtown Barcelona. However, the bus is cheap and easy to catch in both directions. The bus ride to, say, Las Ramblas is fairly quick and pleasant and passes several sites along the way. The hotel staff speaks English and is very helpful. The rooms are nice. A long beach is just across the street.

I stayed for three night at the Barcelo Hotel Atenea Mar, this is a top notch hotel, they have free wireless access, not like some places that offer then charge, excellent breakfast and a contemporary style bar area, it's away from the main city center but a short, bus or metro ride and your in the center of it all. It's located on the green line of the Barcelona Touristic bus, which is worth the 30 euros. I ate at restaurants located on the street, and it's about 35 euros to get to from the airport. The bedroom area is small but two fit good and the bathroom is huge, with shower tub. Stay here on your next visit to Barcelona. I would again.

Hotel is just by the beach.10min walk to a tube station.bus just outside the hotel going to the centre of barcelona.same for night bus.superb breakfasts.Staff speaks english.Would love to go back there.

“Very impressed with this hotel”
The staff was wonderful. Great location right across from the beach. Many wonderful restaurants within walking distance. Could not have been more pleased.
“Excellent Location and Excellent Hotel”
I would recommend this hotel to everyone going to Barcelona. It is right across from the beach, which is beautiful, has some wonderful restaurants, including the hotel one. You can catch the bus into main city only a block away. Staff was the most hospital and helpful staff I have ever dealt with. Even have 2 computers you can use for free if you don't bring your own. My husband and I loved this hotel, and would definitely stay again.
“Good view, nice rooms and free Wi-Fi”
The hotel was very nice and our room was on the highest floor with both city and sea view, so I was not disappointed! And this is for reasonable, I should say, VERY reasonable price! The Mar Bella beach is just across the road, so you could jogging, swim and tan whenever you want! But I must say, Mar Bella beach might not suitable for "old-stylish" families, please note it. Wi-Fi is running either in public areas and in the room, it was free of charge when I stayed.

Bon accueil, belle chambre (9eme étage avec vue mer/ville), lits confortables, mini bar bien équipé.. Quelques défauts : un couvre lit avec une tache, un bureau un peu abimé..mais rien de grave pour ceux qui ne passent pas leur vie à l'hotel.. Hotel un peu décentré mais très bien dessevi par les lignes de bus qui circulent tard..
