Formerly a concert hall and tea salon, the nine-story Avenida Palace is superbly located one block from the Ramblas Promenade, near the Gothic Quarter, the Picasso Museum, Gaudi architecture, the Picasso Museum and FC Barcelona Museum and Stadium. An underground station faces the hotel. The multi-tiered lobby features a dramatic curving staircase laced with ornamental ironwork, a restaurant, and piano bar.

“really sad we had to leave.. already planning our return visit, and the Avenidia Palace”
This is our 5th vist to Barcelona, and th secound visit to the Avenidia Hotel, A most excellent location, located 2 doors away from Obama bar,defiantely worth a visit, on the corner is a tapas bar which is one of the best in Barcelona. the hotel staff were friendly and helpful, I emailed th hotel 1 wek before and they organised for us to stay in te sam room we had te previous year. Wel done hote lAvenidia reall sad to leave but will return. asta la vista baby..
“Great Location”
Super location very close to La Rambla and within walking distance to most of the attractions. Rooms are clean and the views of Barcelona from the ninth floor are impressive.
“Great Hotel”
This is a Great Hotel with a central location and access to parking not far away. The staff are friend and and speak good English. We had one of the few rooms with a very large balcony (801) and views to the City and Catheral. Will be back one day
“Very impressed with location and cleanliness”
The overall standard of the Hotel was excellent. Staff attentative but not intrusive. Location excellent. Barcelona guide (in the room) was very useful.
“Beautiful hotel in the heart of everything.”
The Avenida Palace is near Las Ramblas, in two blocks of Gaudi architecture, and near the square to catch the hop on hop off buses. The hotel itself is luxurious and the hotel staff are very helpful. The room was spacious and comfortable. The beautiful rose wood on the walls and closets and even in the elevator gave a feel of richness. I would definately stay there in the future.
“Very happy with this choice”
This hotel is centrally located, and within walking distance to good restaurants, shopping, Las Ramblas, Casa Battlo, Casa Mila, the Egyption museum, the tourist center, bus stops and the waterfront. The staff was extremely accomodating and knowledgable. The hotel does not have amenities such as a fitness center or swimming pool. However, it is a clean, pleasant, and affordable option and I would definitely stay there again.
“Waiting to Return!”
Hotel is in a great location to explore Barcelona city to the south, north, east and west. In effect, it is right in the middle of everything and Las Ramblas, the port, Gaudi buildings and endless tapas bars and shops are all in walking distance. The hotel is situated with the Eixample area, which is very classy and wonderful for shopping and authentic Catalan bars and restaurants. We preferred the eating and drinking experience here rather than paying overpriced tourist rates for food on Las Ramblas. The tourist bus stops close by the hotel. The hotel itself is classic Modernisme style with a grand entrance hall and very Modernista style decor. It was spotlessly clean and the reception and porter staff were more than helpful. They were very helpful in calling a taxi to take us back to the airport, and the doors are open anytime, so we stayed out late and it didn't matter. Our room was cleaned everyday, and everything was clean, warm and comfortable. There was a television in our room and a mini bar, as well as an enormous bathroom with lovely powerful shower as well as a bath. It also had two sinks, plentiful towels which were replaced when we asked. The hotel is not the cheapest in Barcelona, but we would pay to stay here again without question.
“Great Hotel in Barcelona”
This hotel was in a great location just a few minutes walk from the Placa de Catalunya where the airport bus drops off and the tourist buses interchange. The hotel was also surrounded by lots of shops and restuarants and within walking distance of Las Ramblas. The staff were friendly and very helpful and the room was spacious, clean and tidy. We had a very enjoyable stay.
“Hotel in Barcelona”
This is a good hotel situated very close to a metro station. Its also in easy walking distance for any kind of shop from breakfast to clothes. The main part of the hotel was very impresive and kept really clean. The room was a fair size but the bed wasnt the most comfortable but it was big. All kept very clean by the maid. A nice feature was the safe in the wardrode came free. All the staff spoke good English and were able to answer questions about local places and events. Over all I would recommend the hotel to anyone.
“Excellent location, superb hotel, Plenty of places to eat around area”
the hotel was in an exellent location for everything. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The local area had a vast array of eating plsces form huate cuisine to cafe's serving excellent english breakfast, which fill you up till dinner time. thoroughly recommend it
