“un hôtel bien aimé”
Dans un mot, c'est un hôtel parfait. Il est calme, la chambre est mignonne, la kitchenette est très pratique, et il est situé près de la centre ville. Les employés sont sympa et multilingues, l'isolation est bonne, vraiment, nous avons beaucoup aimé notre séjour dans cet hôtel, et surement nous allons y retourner.

Nice experience overall. But the odd open area in the center of the hotel meant that sound traveled too easily, especially when a group gathered in there early one morning. Staff is only on site during the day, but that wasn't much of a problem for the most part. When they were there, they were all very nice, and very helpful with finding great local restaurants, and, as important, tickets to the Barcelona soccer game.

If you simply need a clean, pleasant place to sleep, for a reasonable price, I would definitely recommend these apartments. The only thing to note is that this is NOT a hotel. As long as you keep that in mind you can't really fault this place; especially as it is cheaper than just about everywhere else in Barcelona. As it's not a hotel you don't get some of the usual hotel facilities e.g. restaurant, and they don't clean your room every day; but for a 3 night stay like ours, this really was not a problem. But because it's an apartment you get basic kitchen facilities (we had a kettle, fridge/freezer, combi oven, sandwich toaster, etc) which is a big plus point. The toilet/bathroom was very clean, and the shower was excellent - which seems to be rarity these days. The only down side about the room was the fact that the beds were pretty creaky and uncomfortable, but after a long day of walking around the city, it didn't really matter. One of the best things about these apartments is that they have a reception, which is staffed between 10am and 8pm, so you don't have to meet the owner to collect keys, like you do with a lot of similar places. The location is very central; about a 10-minute walk from Placa Catalunya and Las Ramblas. The surrounding streets look a little intimidating if you're not used to living in a city centre, but we never felt unsafe walking around, even late at night. Overall, I was very impressed, particularly for the comparatively low price.
