Lovely stay
Lovely hotel with exceptional service. Front desk was very helpful with recommendations, directions, etc. Could not have a better location to see the major sites of Barcelona. The restaurant was also fantastic. My only complaint was that the lighting in the room was terrible at night. Had to use my flashlight to pack the morning we left!

Very comfortable stay, great hotel for sightseeing
The hotel is quite central to all of the major attractions (5min walk to La Pedrera and Casa Battlo, 15 to La Rambla, 20 to Sagrada Familia) with plenty of cafes and tapas bars around. For anything a bit of a further walk like the Gothic Quarter or Park Guell there are bus stops a quick walk away too, so fantastic location. Check in was seamless and all of the staff were very polite, friendly and helpful from the desk to the breakfast buffet. Patio was nice but around the time when I stayed it was rainy and a bit cold so no one was using the pool and I would see maybe one or two people up there as well. All amenities I used were super clean and well maintained. It was my first time in Barcelona and I was extremely pleased to choose Alexandra, it was a great location for a first time sightseeing trip and the stay at the hotel was very comfortable.

Good location. My bathroom had some old mold stains, but, it was clean. Staff very friendly and helpful. Me and my husband had a king size bed with our 4 yod. However, I don’t agree being charged extra 45 euros a day for having her sleeping with us. So, keep that in mind if you have your kiddos with you. Overall, hotel is good.

Room was sparkling clean, and bed was very comfortable. Hotel staff was professional and helpful with directions and recommendations. Excellent wifi. Rooftop pool was small. Rooms are not large by American standards, but still stylish and comfortable. Hotel location is in a safe, uncrowded and upscale area. Hotel has a nice casual bar and sidewalk cafe. A good value in every respect.

Worst hotel in our entire spain holiday trip.
They gave us a queen superior room which was the most inferior room possible. There was no space to even keep a suitcase in the room and move about. Advertised as 23sq m this was about 12 sq m room. After we created a fuss they moved us to another queen superior room which was 23 sq m. as promised but tucked away in a corner next to the gym causing lot of disturbance in the morning. The cleaning lady kept banging the door even though we did not put the sign about cleaning the room. At night after the kitchen had closed we enquired about eating joints nearby but the staff simply said we do not know. A short stroll maybe 100m down there were a few places open even at 1130pm. In short disinterested front desk staff, disinterested bar staff and not interested to have customers. Pre covid I used to be a Hilton Silver member. Glad I am not patronizing hilton anymore on my trips to US or Europe.

I liked the location and feel of the area around the property was well maintained and most of the staff was wonderful. I was surprised at the limited menu of the included restaurant. since it was virtually all Beef based items. We did have a problem of discrimination aon Sunday April 30 in the Terrice area. The female employee began setting up tables for launch and treated us as if we did not exist! We are an American couple of African and other ethnic docents . When other couples arrived who looked physically more like the employee, they were welcomed and offered refreshment! I informed a male employee at the front desk of my strong dislike of what happened; but he seemed unwilling to address the matter with the female employee or upper management. We never any positive feedback about addressing the matter! WE GIVE THIS HOTEL A GOOD RATING BECAUSE EVERYONE ELSE WAS QUITE FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL DURING OUR STAY .

Overall a good place to stay. However, the AC unit was all or none. Could not adjust it.

The staff was great but the lobby and interior was very dark and low ceilings. Room comfortable and bathrooms very nice but overall it felt like a lot of Americans staying. Sort of took away from being in Spain, in Barcelona. Absolutely have to give the staff huge props. Super friendly and nice. Location was good also- but definitely in the hub of the expensive part of the city and not exactly very authentic. Overall a very nice and safe place. But I would rather of had a slightly more authentic Spanish Stay

Walls thin, beds like a trampoline, front desk and bar employees very nice, man hailing cabs is the most unfriendly and unprofessional employee. Will not come back because of him.

I cannot say enough amazing things about this hotel. The central location, spacious room, lovely restaurant and incredibly friendly staff made our stay in Barcelona enjoyable. The staff not only assisted us with directions and public transit, but helped get our COVID test to return to the US. I definitely recommend this hotel for first time Barcelona visitors, it really has it all.

This was a perfect location. We could walk to most everything we wanted to, and if not public transportation was very easy to navigate from here. Everyone was kind and helpful. Our room was tended to daily when we were out, never disturbing us. The bathroom is very spacious. All covid protocols were covered. Due to our visit in Jan/Feb we didn’t utilize the pool area, or any of the amenities, but I know they were there. I recommend this hotel for a convenient stay in Barcelona.
