“Great hotel just in front of beautiful beach.”
We had a great time at waves in that excellent environs. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Three different restaurants did not make us bored with eating at the resort all the times.
“GREAT HOTEL”
I ENJOYED MY STAY AND WILL RETURN AGAIN.
“Wonderful Honeymoon Experience @ Waves Barbados”
My husband and I decided to honeymoon at Waves Barbados and it was a memorable experience. When we checked in on the form we indicated that it was our honeymoon. We had dinner and returned to the room to be surprised with complimentary heart shaped rose petals on the bed and a bottle of champaign and a complimentary voucher for a couples massage. The hotel staff was extremely friendly, and always checking on their guest ensuring everything is good we also enjoyed the water sport activites. My husband and I loved the food and had a wonderful time at the bar we enjoyed the live entertainment each night. The ocean view was marvelous, breath taking each time. I would definately recommend this hotel it was truly all inclusive, it was the best, my husband and I had a wonderful honeymoon experience. Thank you Waves Barbados.
“Incredible trip”
I can't wait to go back to Waves Resort! It was incredible - more boutique-y than it looked online and so beautiful with the perfect spot on the beach and delicious food and drinks! Very friendly staff and beautiful rooms, great spa services and waterfront activities. We were the only Americans - everyone else was British, and there weren't a lot of children at the resort, which was what we were looking for.
“A very cousy hotel in the western coast - Recommended!”
I spent just 2 days with a friend in a Superior Spa Room and we both loved it. - Staff : always willing to help with a big smile - Meals: quite decent and we had lots a variety to choose from. - Rooms: the room is pretty new and well equipped. Notice that the Spa building is accross the street from the main building (where the beach is) so if you want a nice seaview every morning, pick a room in the main building. - Facilities: the 2 pools and the beach are amazing, Virgin has a very useful computer kiosk with internet access, etc. This was very useful as the electricity plugs and current are different in the two buildings. Bring your adaptors as there's any available in the hotel. - Location: Waves location in the west coast is amazing, beautiful white sand beaches. Downside: a bit far from the action (no walking distance amenities) and a bit far from the airport (40min)
“A great 50th Birthday Celebration at WAVES”
I was skeptical the reviews would be able to match my expectations, however, it is a really beautiful property and the staff were very willing to accommodate our needs.....The beach was very beautiful, and met the needs of its guest. The property has in two sides which are separated by the main road. I wanted the main building but got upgraded to the one across the street. First I was upset, but across the street is just as beautiful and they do not allow kids under 16, with I thought was great. Do not be afraid to go across the street to the Spa side of the property, it is also beautiful. If you want to get any thing done, ask for Gregory, Dolores, Sandra and Michael (if you have any problems on the grounds , mechanical, electrical, etc.). The food was good (very good on Sunday). I was there for my 50th birthday, the arrangements they made were very very very nice the resort lived up to the statement in the brochure that they would accommodate special occasions. Graciousness, caring and responsiveness are all the qualities the wonderful staff provide. the property is midsized and the hands on owner is always present - there to give advice on where to go and what to do or to simply ensure that the American Football playoff games were accessible to guests- I recommend this resort to anyone and I will definitely be going back to the wonderful Waves Resort.
“Worth Every Penny.”
It was alot better than I expected. The food was really good, the room was clean and had ac. I recommend the spa rooms as opposed to the other choice. The hotel staff were extremely nice. I suggest that you stay no less then 4 nights, it wouldnt be worth it. Next time I will be going for at least a week.
“Barbados experience”
Waves is a nice intimate hotel with an adequate beach. The water is warm and clear but getting into the ocean for the elderly is sometimes difficult due to a sudden drop in the sand level. The resort could do with more umbrellas as it was difficult to get one if you went on the beach late. The water sports staff were not always friendly but once you got to know them they were better. The catamaran trip with the turtles is a MUST! The staff did bring drinks on the beach occasionally- usually soda, juice and beer. We had some rain but it was normally only for a short time and overall was very warm and humid. The 3 restaurants had good food and the drinks were also good with plenty of different types of cocktails. Overall the staff were friendly ( some not so much) however if you were patient once you had made a request you were treated better- remember everything is on Island time. Most of the visitors to this resort were English with a few Americans & French. The nightly entertainment was good although it was usually a group or couple singing- would have been better if there was more variety. The island is expensive if you are not doing all inclusive. The buses are cheap- taxis not so much. Rooms and ocean view was good.
“Waves”
Hotel doesn't have fitness room like advertised; so we needed to travel off site and between taxi and charges for the gym it cost us another $150. No volleybal like advertised, WI FI only in lobby and was super slow. Lastly they moved us from one room to another and during vacation I like to get settled and get situated; also they couldn't tell us when we were moving to the next room. Knowledge of the management at the lobby desk was poor. The food was good although needed reservations.
