“Great friendly hotel”
Love this hotel
“A Perfect Place to be pampered and to relax!”
My husband and I went to Barbados to celebrate our 20th anniversary. We could not have been happier with The House. The room was clean and well decorated, the bathroom was large and also clean. Our 3rd story view was excellent as well. The Ambassador service was great. They pampered us with their attention and service. The breakfast included was very good and there were a lot of choices to be made each morning!! The afternoon tea was lovely and just hit the spot. Overall, it was a great, quiet, relaxing place to stay. I would highly recommend The House to anyone looking for a place where you can really get away from your regular routine and de-stress but to also be made to feel like you are staying in a home.
“Unbeatable service and location”
This was our second visit and won't be our last. The service is impeccable from the staff who are so friendly and helpful and can't do enough for you. It's a great location on the beach and has an air of tranquility about it. If you can't relax here then you won't relax anywhere.
“Can't wait to go back”
The hotel had excellent service, this is the best hotel I have stayed in.. The amasadors were the best, friendliest people ever.. I'm glad I chose to stay at the The House in Barbados and I have already recomended to many of my family and friends.
“So relaxing”
Absolutely fabulous hotel !
“Altogether a great experience, but first appearances can be deceptive . . .”
When we arrived at the hotel we were not terribly impressed. The hotel is on a rather small plot and hides behind high walls. The rooms are a little shabby chic. There is no proper lounge area, just a couple of big white sofas around a large coffee table. It took us a little moment to stomach all this, but as soon as you have settled in you see how it all works. The ambassadors are fantastic, suggesting anything from destinations for sightseeing trips, restaurants for dinner and transport etc. All their restaurant suggestions were great and they always managed to get us waterside tables. We had an absolutely fantastic time at The House, being very lazy and pampered. There are only couples at the hotel as children under 17 are not allowed, hence a lot of peace and quiet. Daphne, the restaurant next door was great too, as was the complimentary massage in our room. As soon as you showed up downstairs, you would be greated und addressed by name, your sunloungers ready with towels and a bucket of Evian bottles waiting for you. The ambassadors always looked cool and neat, in crisp white or cream linen kaftans and trousers. There is a small, but well-equipped gym and a small swimming-pool, but who needs that if you have the wonderfully warm and clear ocean right in front of you. We really came to appreciate the intimacy of the place, the relaxed atmosphere and the attentive service.
“Perfect Place to Decompress”
This is a small and intimate hotel with only 35 rooms, and a very comfortable open-air main lounge area where you have breakfast, afternoon tea or just some cocktails to watch a beautiful sunset. The idea is that you feel like your “at home” so there’s not front desk or concierge….they have Ambassadors that you contact for pretty much anything. It felt very much like an upscale bed and breakfast, and the property is welcoming and cozy. We cannot say enough good things about the staff. Everybody, from the wait staff, to the bar staff (where we spent much of our time!), even housekeeping and maintenance, was sincerely friendly, helpful and focused on making the guests feel welcome and at home. These people hustle and it shows. The guests were a real mix of ages and nationalities, but a definite plus is that it is an adults only hotel and the reason we booked here. On the downside, Barbados is pricey, and the food at this hotel was no exception. While it was good, it could be better. That being said, I know we’ll return to the island and I’m sure the House will be our first choice.
“fantastic honeymoon”
Fantastic hotel for honeymoon. No more big hotels for me. The personal service at this hotel is fantastic. In Barbados go B&B only as there are so many great restaurants to eat at and transport is easy from this hotel.
“Beautiful small hotel”
The House is a beautiful small hotel with less than 40 rooms. It was quietly luxurious. The room was spacious and weell furnished with beautiful views and comfortable bedding. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The only downside is there is no destination to walk to. Shopping and restaurants are a cab ride away. Still, I would return in a minute and can highly recommend The Hotel.
“would definitely go back”
Totally relaxing holiday! Beautiful location right on the beach. Food was fantastic and lots of great restaurants nearby if not dining onsite. Staff warm and extremely helpful. Anything you wanted to do they could arrange for you. The beach was great, water beautiful for swimming and lots of water activities available. Perfect getaway!
