Nice hotel/villa on the beachPosted 20-Oct-2014
This hotel is located on the beach, with crystal clear water. Under the water though was very rocky, definitely no fault of the hotel but should be noted. Hotel staff are friendly and willing. The only other point to note is that the hotel is not close (walking distance) to other activities or restaurants and taxis can be pricey.

Nice hotel with good restaurant and friendly staffPosted 5-Oct-2014
The hotel is less than 10 minutes from the airport. Clean and well maintained. Room is big with refrigerator and cable tv. Good food at the ocean front restaurant. The sea seemed rough and not inviting. Wireless is available but only at the restaurant area.

nice hotel w/ limitationsPosted 20-Sep-2014
Pros: hotel itself is very nice, 10 min ride to airport
Cons: restaurant prices, internet
Location: not really close to any attractions, you will need a car to explore the island or you can rely on cabs
nice hotel, front desk staff, marlene, took care of all our needs, beach is rocky w/ lots of seaweed and not really swimmable, pricey restaurant, poor internet connection

Ok for short stayPosted 7-Sep-2014
It's clean but only good for catching an early flight - small room - clean - close to airport

quiet and relaxing, good enough for mePosted 12-Jul-2014 on Hotels.com
It was enjoyable and I loved the view and breeze from my veranda, I would definitely come to the Silver Point Hotel again. I am back in my home country but my spirit is still in Barbados, I enjoyed Carlisle Beach the most and my fish dinner at Fred's Bar in Oistins was the best. The fish cakes at Blakey's were the best that I tasted.

Barbados Beach HotelPosted 1-Jul-2014
Pros: Rooms were simple and elegant. The location was excellent
Cons: More variety of food in the hotel's restaurant
Location: Far from the main city, but close to the airport.
This was my first time staying at a hotel in Barbados and I will probably be back at this hotel. The hotel is location is far from the city, but its proximity makes it an ideal short trip to the airport. The area is quiet except for the sea breeze and waves crashing on the shore, but I don't think that will be a problem. Overall the hotel is a nice little getaway from it all and is adequate for those who need that quiet time.

You can never pay enough for customer servicePosted 26-Jun-2014 on Hotels.com
Do not stay at this hotel. Service is sub par and location is bad. The hotel looks just as it does online however I encountered at least three roaches in my room. The receptionist leaves by 9pm. So late checkin and early checkout will most likely leave you dealing with the security guard. The security and bartender were very nice. As for the chef not so friendly. The hotel is on the beach but the water is rough and not suitable for swimming. The price for food and bottled water at the hotel is ridiculous. Spend your money else where.

Quiet and SurfsidePosted 21-Jun-2014 on Hotels.com
It is a little out of the way (near the airport and about 30 minutes from downtown) but if you want to fall asleep to just the sound of surf on the rocks - this is the place for you. Hotel was very clean and well maintained and the front counter staff was friendly and helpful. A rural / suburb sense when you step outside the gates which can be unnerving for some at first but very safe. Nice pool and great food at the restaurant. Perfect for relaxing and watching the surf.

A Little Piece of ParadisePosted 19-May-2014
Pros: Rooms are nice and accommodating. Rooms are clean, staff is friendly, beach is beautiful. They have very good security.
Cons: Internet and restaurant costs
Location: Surfer's Bay bar and grill, the surf shop next door has food and drinks. The closest supermarket is in Oistons.
We stayed there just recently. The hotel is lovely and the rooms are very clean. As an elite plus member they did upgrade us to a room which was ocean front. If you want ocean front you better specify because on of their buildings is ocean view and is across the street. The room was nice and had a refrigerator and a microwave. I do suggest going to the supermarket for water, beer, and snacks. The restaurant at the hotel has decent food but it is very expensive. You can go right next door to the surf shop and get beer for $2.00/ each its about $5.00 at the hotel bar. You can also go to surfers bay restaurant and bar which is a short beach walk and has good food and is very reasonable. Nice place to hang out. The hotel is a bit far but if you have a car its not that bad. Honestly we loved the seclusion. The pool area is lovely there are beds all around the pool and ocean front to lay on. You might wanna invest in a small cooler to bring drinks to the pool area so you don't have to buy them from the bar. The hotel staff is super friendly. My main complaint was the internet service was terrible. If you are ocean front you CANNOT get internet in your room. If you are on the street side you can get internet. I was not happy about that because it said internet in all the rooms but I am told they are working on that. All and all is was an amazing vacation. Barbados is beautiful and I cannot wait to return. Nice place for couples or families.
