Lovely, relaxed, romantic

Posted 13-Feb-2015
Pros: Staff was incredible! Very accomodating and fun! Food was excellent. Hotel exudes a very relaxing atmosphere.
Cons: Bathroom could have been cleaner.
Spent the night at this hotel on a layover. Boutique hotel with a wonderful view. Junior suite with a partial ocean view was a very pleasant surprise! Great view from the room, very welcoming ambiance.

Loved our room with balcony looking out to beach.

Posted 13-Feb-2015
Location: No nice beaches nearby. Recommend renting a car as it was pricey to taxi everywhere.
Great reception staff. Very helpful. Room was relaxing and really loved the balcony. Food was great in the restaurant though typical pricey hotel prices ($25-30 USD for dinner meal). Great if you kitesurf, but not a place if you want to chill by a calm beach. Great to lounge in sun and pool.

The hotel has an excellent view, just beside the southern coast. Room was clean, parking available and breakfast was tasty! Helpful staff and wifi in public areas. The only thing is, you're better off if you have a car rented, since it's a bit further away from western beaches.

Perfect setup for kiteboarding holidays

Posted 7-Feb-2015
Pros: Best location for kiteboarding holidays. Right on the kitesurfing spot, still sheltered from the wind.
Cons: Swimming pool is small, especially given that the beach is to great for swimming (busy with kites and uncomfortable shore break).
Location: Busy with kiteboarder. Nice bar around the corner. But no other restaurant within walking distance, you need to take the car to Oistins.
First trip to Barbados, mostly for kiteboarding holidays but also to visit the island. The Silver Point Hotel is the best home base for this type of holidays. Right on the kitesurfing spot, you can ride in the morning and in the evening. And when it gets really crowded during the day, you can drive around to discover the other parts of the island. Great week.

Nice hotel - great for watching the kitesurfers

Posted 27-Jan-2015
The hotel is tucked away in a beautiful location. Beds and sun beds are luxurious. The balcony of ocean view rooms were perfect with outdoor socket for the laptop. The negatives is that the wifi is only available in public areas (with intermittent connectivity) but my laptop did connect well in the room near the balcony and the Kitchenette could have done with some washing liquid and a towel to save using facecloths to dry cups. The useful things like plug in mosquito repellant, free beach towels and lovely toiletries are provided. But all becomes insignificant with the views and the sound of the sea.

Nice hotel with friendly staff

Posted 25-Jan-2015
We chose this hotel as a relatively cheap way to visit Barbados. We had never been before and so were not sure what to expect. However we were pleasantly surprised. The hotel was comfortable and clean and the staff were very friendly. They were also very helpful with tips of food to try and places to visit. This hotel is on the south coast of the island, which is well known for kite surfing and wind surfing. The wind means that the sea is a bit choppier than the calm seas of the west Coast beaches, but it is only 10-15 minutes to these in a car/cab, so easy enough. Would recommend the trip to others looking for a relaxed holiday with sun (30 degrees all year round), fun and relaxation.

Average hotel with a great view on the beach

Posted 21-Jan-2015
This hotel has a great view of the beach. Rooms are clean. However, it is average in all other ways. Restaurant was ok, not bad, not fine dining. Amazing view from restaurant. I would recommend to those on a budget. It's not close to much of anything and you need a taxi to get you anywhere else.

Perfect location for a perfect dose of R&R

Posted 28-Dec-2014
Pros: Pretty much everything
Cons: More sunbeds with shade
Location: All local hotspots Oistins, St Lawrence Gap and Bridgetown accessible with quick and cheap transport
Had a wonderful time at the Silver Point hotel - room was upgraded on arrival and we were given an ocean view/facing room. Room was kept spotless with endless towels should we have needed them and excellent air con which was ideal! The sea front of the hotel had plenty of sunbeds and day beds and with good wifi which was a great for Skype, Spotify connection etc. Some more shade areas would be great if like me you are pale & ginger, as there was a need for more particularly during midday sun periods. Staff were more than helpful and watching everyone else being very active with the kite surfing was just the best way to relax! Local Surfers Bar is a must for a visit though you may need to work out the directions - great local and cheap transport into Oistins, St Lawrence Gap and Bridgetown - plus a visit to the East coast recommended - Crane beach was amazing.

Fresh modern small hotel in relaxing setting.

We spent a total of 3 nights here and loved everything about it. We wanted a place to unwind and relax by the beach and this was it. Clean fresh modern rooms and a lovely staff made the stay special.
