Simple hotel in a very nice setting, homely

Got the rest I needed on a stop over. The room was very clean and reasonably well appointed. The staff were welcoming and friendly.

Excellent views! Room was small but great for a couple. Most of the staff was not friendly. The towel guy had a flat affect and did not greet us or even smiled. He made us return to lo by to get towel cards even though no one else was there and he was just sitting in his post. The reception lady was okay but not conversant. The restaurant servers were better. There was no WiFi at all. Receptionist did not even make an attempt to call the service provider. Overall, it was clean and had great outdoor space to lounge, and relax.

Just for sleeping

Pros: Staff was helpful and courteous. Sea side dining at the restaurant. Wind surfing facility next door. Nice breeze.

Location: It is not far from the airport. You can take the bus to local eaterys but you have to take a cab to get to entertainment at St. Lawrence Gap
The staff was nice and helpful BUT The room was too small, no, desk, no dresser, iron and ironing board upon request. I was looking for pen and pad. found some paper /no pen. No newspaper to see what was going on, and the room lighting was dim. One waste paper basket for the bathroom and bedroom. Bathroom was small, only one outlet for shaver, no place to hang your towel, a small ledge in the the shower for soap. There was not even any tissues. There was a coffee maker in the room but the coffee was instant. (??) There was no gift shop open, on my last day the gift shop was open, I didn't see anything through the door to go in and shop for. No Ice or vending machines; The restaurant was ok. Certain things on the menu were unavailable and the drinks were overpriced. There was no on site entertainment so you had to leave the facility, a short walk for local transportation or call for a cab. Pictures that I saw on the website are deceiving. The beach is not good for swimming because the water there is rough with strong under current.

Pros: Friendly staff and big rooms.
Cons: The ones across the road are a bit noisy as you hear the staff coming and going.
Good, nice staff and great food. Nice breeze always so it stays cool. Great views of the sea and the kite surfers.

Fell Asleep To The Sound Of Crashing Waves

Pros: Dinner and proximity to the beach.
Cons: The lock on the door has seen better days.
Location: I only stayed one night, so can't be much help on this.
This hotel is so close to the sea, that I fell asleep to the sound of waves crashing on to the beach. Before that, dinner was fantastic - perfect rum punch to start and bread pudding with ice cream to finish, but I've already forgotten what the starter and main course were.

Terrible customer service!

I had to request additional towels daily. Bathroom had open blinds and I got many a mosquito bite. Couch covers were very dirty. Staff were not very friendly, nor accommodating.

Unique and pleasant hotel.

We had a one night stay and chose Silver Point because it was near the airport, although it was not as near as we thought. Our room was a partial sea view standard. Hotel was accessed through a neighborhood and seemed isolated which was no problem. It was oceanfront and unique in character with lounging beds near the bar/restaurant. AC was great although the bathroom had a high louvered window without screen so was open to the outside air at all times so we kept the bathroom door closed. The lighting was not very good and the electrical outlet in the bathroom did not accommodate the supplied blow dryer. There was no outlet near the mirror in the main room either. This seems to be common in the islands and is frustrating. The shower was great. The floors are rustic wood, room very clean with simple furnishings and bedding. We had a fine dinner in the restaurant. Desk staff and restaurant staff were efficient and friendly. We wish we would have had more time to explore and enjoy. Early morning cab to the airport was more expensive than normal due to the time.

Where do I start, the positive: the cabanas outside are very comfortable (my favorite) and there are just enough for all of the hotel guests. Ironically, the mattress is way more comfortable than in the room itself, oh well, I guess, you can't have both.. The beach is just a few feet away from the cabanas with lots of kite surfers catching the waves.. I must admit - mesmerizing view.. On a downside - there is a lot of seaweed on the shore so don't expect "Silver Sand" view that you find via google search. The neighborhood is very authentic, which makes you a very obvious tourist with invisible dollar sign on your forehead... So please expect local guys that hang out outside the Hotel/Mini market/Beach to pitch some "goods" to you, disregarding whether you need them or not. Super friendly people. If you were not smart enough to rent the car, you'd have to be stuck in the hotel premises. Everywhere else - you must take the taxi, which you can find outside the hotel - prices are reasonable. The staff.. The pool bar has variety of bartenders/servers who seem to give much worse service if they have to walk the Entire 20-feet-distance to your table/cabana in the lounge area. By "worse" I mean, they try to ignore you or pretend that you never asked for a menu. Mind you it is NOT a self-service area and you ARE paying for all the drinks/food that you order. So being friendly would definitely increase the chance of a better tip along with better experience.
