Hotel was very pretty, but extremely expensive

Posted 31-Mar-2014
Hotel resteraunt was overpriced and had a small menu, The location was far from any amenities therefor a cab or car is essential. The property was relaxing and Extemely pretty, Room was good! But only the bedroom had air conditioning . Making the sofa bed area uncomfortable to sleep as it was humid I would however, visit again as the good outweighed any poor!

Nice hotel with great views and friendly staff

I love the feeling of seclusion, even though the hotel is not too remote. Peaceful, good food and nice staff. I will definitely return!

Decent hotel. Impossible to find.

Nice little out of the place that use some signage! I've been to barbados a dozen times so getting lost is nothing new, but this place was only found after spotting kite surfers, which we knew frequented the hotel.

Great place to relax

Posted 22-Mar-2014
Pros: It's remoteness. We needed to be away from everything. The option to do windsurfing or kite-surfing.
Cons: The restaurant: the prices are high, the kitchen is slow, and the staff is slow cleaning after a guest has left.
Location: Quiet, surfing, windsurfing, kitesurfing, walking, swimming. Fish market and restaurant in Oistins. Concorde experience at the airport.
Our plans was to relax, this hotel provided this to us. The hotel is away from the action. The taxi ride to Oistin our other part of the island is required if diversity is needed. Meals are a bit expensive and lack diversity after a while, trips to town will provide the needed change

Nice hotel with an incredibly great staff.

Cons: Restaurant was limited to Indian food. Inappropriate for a Barbados stay.
Very good place overall. Nice facility. Did have to travel a little to get to night life. Restaurant food was not good, but other dining in the area.

Quaint hotel right on the beach

Posted 12-Mar-2014
Pros: The ambiance and friendly staff
Cons: The only minor hiccup was the wifi. It was not available in the rooms only in public areas.
The staff was so welcoming and friendly. The grounds are well kept and I would definitely recommend to friends and return as well.

Great view, everything else just so-so

Pros: The patios on the ocean front rooms were real nice and private.
Cons: Service with a smile and updating rooms.
My family stayed here for 2 nights. We had just come from the west coast of Barbados where the service was wonderful. At Silver Point the 1st thing we felt lacking was service. It was never with a smile, more like everything was just a job. My daughter wanted an extra towel for her hair but was told 'I have to check with manager'. Thankfully, she did get the towel. While waiting to be seated for dinner at the restaurant which was not at all busy, several workers were chatting nearby and did not acknowledge us. After several awkward minutes, we decided to eat elsewhere. As we walked away, one of the workers called out to us to come back. We did not. The Internet service was next to impossible. The a/c worked but not if you like it real cool. The rooms were okay but in need of some updating, some more than others.

Hotel on the beach - Great for Kitesurfing

Posted 3-Mar-2014
Pros: The proximity to the beach is this hotels biggest asset.
Cons: Bathroom fixtures are old and stained, updating is needed, especially for this high room rate.
Location: Beach is in front of the hotel. For dining and entertainment, a 20 minute cab ride is necessary.
If you like kitesurfing or windsurfing, this is the hotel for you. It is right on the beach where you can rig up your gear and have a lot of fun on the water with a steady wind and constant warm air and water temperatures. Unfortunately, the hotel is showing a lot of wear and tear and is now over prized for what it offers, especially the ocean front rooms. Yes, they offer great views that are worth a lot but still the overall hotel needs updating. One full track of the hotel is actually boarded up and reconstruction seems to have stopped. The hotel bar is mostly lacking customers and not as lively as it used to be.

Close to airport

Cons: Outlet in bath or add a mirror near one for fixing hair or dressing.
I used this for a quick stop over. 5 hour stay. Security guard checked me in and out. It was not a room with a partial ocean view but I was not there long enough for that to be a problem. Note to others, no outlets in bathroom so you need a mirror if you are going to fix your hair. There was no mirror near any outlet. That would be my only complaint with the exception it would have been nice to have complimentary bottle of water. From the looks of things and the nice quality of my room, I imagine the rest of the resort is quiet and elegant.
