“Terrific stay, reviewed by an American couple”
We are an American couple who stayed for a long weekend in April. We loved Mango Bay and Barbados in general. The resort was lovely - not a huge American-style resort but more of a boutique-style. It was quiet and relaxing. The food and service was excellent. The staff always said hello, was always there to help. We loved that it was all inclusive, but in a classy, relaxed style. We ate all of our meals there, enjoyed included activities like a Catamaran boat trip out to swim with the turtles, a glass bottom boat trip that took us out to snorkel over a sunken ship, and water skiing. The beach there was lovely and we could take nice walks in both directions. The resort was also walking distance to really nice shops and bars and places to eat. They had entertainment every night we were there - a dj, a local band, a dance show - so after dinner we could enjoy some entertainment. I was worried that people in other reviews wrote about noise, but the noise was from great shows which we were really glad to have right on site. All in all, a terrific experience. All the other guests of the hotel were British, which also made for a very nice feeling of really being away.
“Perfect family Xmas vacation!”
Great experience at Mango Bay. It was very family oriented, lots of holiday activities planned for the kids which made the day pass by smoothly. Simple, clean, very friendly resort and staff. Plenty to do for the all inclusive activities and the staff tried very hard to accomodate and schedule extra things when the weather was bad, we were pleasantly surprised with how smoothly the entire stay went.
“Great hotel”
We had a great time all the staff were helpful and were a good laugh a great atmosphere in the hotel and very friendly
“Fabulous!!”
This was our 9th visit to this hotel which should say it all; but just to add, the staff are fantastic, nothing is too much trouble, and they are so helpful and friendly. We found the entertainment better this time, with a more modern feel. We will definitely return.
“great hotel great welcome”
spent the second week in October at this hotel. It is early season in Barbados but it's still a great place. Weather was good despit the occasional shower. Mang Bay hotel is a great base for a holiday in Barbados. Customer service is very good and we would be very happy to go back. Food and service was excellent. Ideally situated on the west coast it is easy to visit other places on the island.
“Lovely hotel”
The Mango Bay all inclusive resort was great. I wish we had more than one day there. Because our time was limited, we were not able to participate in any of the activities that the hotel offers. I would definitely like to go back and spend some more time there! The ocean view room was beautiful and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The dinner was tasty but the portions were small and there were not many selections, but overall we were completely satisfied.
“Can't wait to go back”
The Mango Bay was a lovely hotel. I can best describe as a little oasis/paradise in Holetown. The Deluxe room was very roomy with a nice sized, updated bathroom and a large balcony with two reclining rattan chairs and table. The ocean and sunset views from the balcony were magnificent. The beach is just steps from the hotel. The hotel also provides a small library with a computer with internet access for your use. The Bar was very comfortable and we felt like we were eating at a 5 star restuarant every night. The nightly entertainment was also nice. You must take the catamaran ride to go swim with the turtles. That was one of the highlights of the trip. Friday night at Oistins was also great (great food/music).
“Very pleased with Mango Bay”
I was very impressed with our stay at Mango Bay. The staff really goes out of their way to accommodate any special requests you may have. The pool was nice, although I do recommend getting to the pool a little early to get a seat because they do get taken up quickly. The bar was nicely located between the pool and the restaurant and the food and alcohol brand choices were very good for an all inclusive. The catamaran ride to snorkel with the turtles was our favorite tour that is offered. Would definitely recommend staying here for a relaxing getaway.
“A great birthday”
I took my husband to Mango Bay to celebrate his birthday and we were not let down. The staff made the occasion really special. Our room was a standard one and there is (as many reviewers mention) an issue with noise. It is mainly at the weekend, especially Sunday night for the outdoor karaoke, but we went and joined in and it was great fun. The tree frogs are very noisy and it took a couple of nights to get used to their noise, but that's nature. I was recovering from pneumonia and if I had known I was going to be ill I would have paid the extra for a better room. The food was of such a high standard. You could have four courses for lunch and dinner. The breakfast was varied and there was afternoon tea with sandwiches and cakes! The cocktails were wonderful and I never got through the whole menu. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and their friendliness really made the hotel a pleasure to stay in. I have never been all inclusive before, but this was really worth the price. The pool was lovely and warm. There was an issue with sun beds being bagged early in the day, but you could ask for more to be put out. The beach was lovely and the sea swimming pleasant. We never go back to the same place twice as we like variety, but this hotel has to be the exception.
“Mango Bay”
This had to be the best surprise I have had in a long time. Of course the trip started with delayed flights, wasted vacation time, destroyed luggage-you know, the norm. When we got to Mango Bay it was nothing but satisfaction. I normally hate all inclusive resorts because the food tastes bland but this place was like a gourmet restaurant with fine service. We had a good time with the other guests as well as the staff who were very friendly. Thanks for the fond memories and turning the negative into a positive.
