"Fabulous low-key hideaway in a perfect location"
Characterful, unusual and very welcoming! Amazing food and an awesome setting on the rugged East coast. Not to be missed even if you don't stay over. Lunch is the meal to go for, but breakfast is spectacular!

"Excellent in every way. Can't wait to get back!"
My husband and I were celebrating our wedding anniversary. This was our first time to Barbados. We chose this hotel strictly based on the Expedia and Trip Advisor reviews, which were all excellent. Soco exceeded our expectations. The hotel was sleek and modern, the food was excellent, the staff was superb, and the location was ideal for romantic walks and sunning. We loved everything about the island and the hotel. We really hit the jackpot with Soco. We are already trying to figure out when we can return.

"Luxury Apartments Barbados - St Peters Bay "
Great holiday with the family , lazing around the pool ,swimming in the nice warm sea - complementary boat trips during the day to swim with the turtles . Really good complementary wifi in the rooms and on the private beach. The Resort Manager "Jeff" was really nice , as was his concierge Charlene and the Gazebo bar manager Gilbert and Franz ( he's great fun guy , full of positive energy ) . When we'd had enough of relaxing either Franz or Rico ( another great guy) took us to nearby restaurants and to pick up food supplies . The Yacht Club at Port St Charles was well worth the visit, as was the Lone Star restaurant which we regularly visited as it was up market for us adults , whilst also had a great kids menu for our young children. What was also good was the readily available use of jet skis from Sebastian at $75 US per half hour ( great fun and half hour chunks worked out just fine when in need of an adrenalin boost ). Complementary use of the resorts paddle boards was great fun also ( the kids had great balance - unfortunately my balance not so good , so I stuck to using the resorts canoe and kayak which I found much easier ) . There was also a platform out at sea that we would swim out to daily and then rest whist laying on the floating platform - "most relaxing". The best thing of all was meeting Will Smith ( yes , " Will Smith " ) at the St Peters Bay resort , meeting him was just so great as my family and I are huge fans of him :-)

Little Arches Boutique Hotel Barbados

Enterprise Beach Road, Oistins - Map

"Perfect boutique hotel "
Little Arches is hard to fault - a beautiful, Mediterranean style building situated directly across the road from the beach, housing a fantastic restaurant, only 9 rooms (we think), with excellent staff - ideal for a relaxing, adult only getaway. Some lovely welcoming touches - bottle of rum, wine and cheese platter, free bike hire, beach chairs taken to the beach for you, sushi night - overall, every time we left the hotel we felt like we were returning to our very own oasis. A 5 minute walk to Oistins (interesting experience), 10 min drive from airport (initially slightly surprised no one mentioned planes overhead in other reviews but quickly learned it was because they come so infrequently, and the sound seems to disappear instantly), 10 min drive to St Lawrence Gap (not high on our list of places to return to) and took us only 20 mins to drive to Paynes Bay (stunning - would be the only way the hotel could be better if it was located there!) - there are plenty of options to keep you entertained. Overall, we learned there is truth to the saying "island time" - and loved it. Would definitely go back and can't thank the staff enough for everything!

"Good place to relax"
We enjoyed our stay, nice rooms and good breakfast. It is a lovely quiet part of the island and we enjoyed relaxing in the gardens. It is near to Andromeda botanical gardens which are wonderful. Only down side is there is no pool, no flat ground to put one on, and you can't swim in the sea.

"Secluded Beauty"
The hotel is small and secluded but the staff and services are excellent. The room is comfortable with air conditioning and hot water. You can take the bus from the front of the hotel and save a lot since the taxi was very expensive. We felt safe and relax. Ianique and Joanne were extremely nice and helpful. We had a wonderful experience for our 20th Anniversary. They also surprised us with a decoration of chocolates and rose petals on our bed. Not even Sandals did that.

"2 resorts for the price of 1"
I had 3 nights in Barbados, and spent 2 nights at Sugar Cane, my first night at Hilton (see separate review). Hotel's at the opposite end of island from airport. It's inland, on top of a hill with views of the sea. Grounds are beautiful, with cabanas/accommodations scattered around the grounds, reasonably far apart so you don't feel crowded. Saw monkey on my gully walk around the property. Take the shuttle service to Almond BEach - it's a sister resort, so can have meals, drinks there if you're on an inclusive. Sun lunch was roast beef. It was the low season when I was there so the beach wasn't crowded. The Almond BEach is also beautiful - spacious grounds, with pools adjacent to beach, and walking distance to Speightstown. Also no seaweed on beach! I recommend the all-inclusive package otherwise you'd have to go to Speightstown - food was plentiful, ranging from OK to good. Breakfast doesn't start till 8 am.
