“Planning next visit”
Excellent location. Walking distance to night life, yet unable to here the noise from hotel. Safe, no hassle from locals. Beachfront booked. Great for families, spacious. All appliances (stove, microwave, refrigerator, toaster, et coffee make) in new condition. Staff friendly. Grounds kept. 24 hour security noted. Totally remodeling the standard room at time of visit.

“pleasant & relaxing vacation”
Our family all enjoyed staying at the Divi Southwinds. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the beach was fantastic (turtles swimming just offshore). Food was good (not great). Our 1 bedroom unit was small for 2 adults & 2 teenagers, but a/c'd and comfortable, and recently renovated. All the rooms looked recently redone, and work was still being done on some floors. We will definitely stay there again.
“Really Good Find”
My family really enjoyed this place - the hotel staff couldn't have been more helpful, the facilities were very good & it's a short stroll into St Lawerence Gap for various restauarants, bars etc. Not a flash 5* but I would definitely stay there again.

“Great Holiday”
Excellent resort and staff. Worry free holiday. All new furnishing et appliances. Rooms in excellent condition. We were booked in oceanfront and pool view. Staff friendly at all time. Grounds nicely kept. Family of monkeys roamed by every evening. Convenient store on site open from 8am to 8pm daily.
“Had a great time”
Lady at the activity center was very nice and helpful. Room has everything we needed for a week long stay, fridge, kitchen, sleeper sofa for the kids. Hotel is close to everything, like across the road to the private beach, Oistins for fish fry, Lawrence Gap for dining and nightlife, and supermarket.
“Divi Southwinds - a Pleasure”
This was my third visit both to Barbados and to this hotel and I have no hesitation to make another booking when the time comes for another visit. We have always stayed on a self service basis and have been impressed with the maid service provided.
“Great Experience”
The Resort had the perfect format: large grounds to feel separate but close enaough to the Gap to take advantage of the restaurants and shops. It was great to have the large swimming pool in the grounds and be in close proximity of the excellent beach. The apartment was well furnished but could have done with one or two more cooking utensils, e.g. a colander, if you were inclined to cook a meal; not that we were bothered though!
“Best location in St Lawrence Gap”
We had a lovely stay at the Divi South Winds. Although in the centre of the Gap the hotel benefits from a huge, beautifully maintained, garden that cushions it from the hustle and bustle. It is only a 2 minute walk to the best restaurants, night clubs and bars in St Lawrence Gap. The staff were so friendly and helpfull, nothing was too much trouble. Unfortunately the main pool was closed for refurbishment on our third day, but there are two other smaller pools available.There are 2 tennis courts, a crazy golf course and some other outside games in the spacious grounds. Our suite was a bit tired and we understand due to have a face lift shortly, but we saw another suite that had just been finished and it was superb. We would certainly go back.
