“Beautiful little hotel at excelent location”
Coral Sands is impeccable, nice and clean. Rooms are spacious, kitchen fully equipped (the only thing missing is the oven). Everything is within walking distance: restaurants, bars, two grocery stores. The beach is beautiful. The only thing hotel needs to work on is more beach chairs (they had only 5 at the time when I was there). All in all, no need to stay anywhere else.
“Wonderful and relaxing, our second trip to Barbados but not our last!!”
Coral sands is a lovely hotel with very friendly staff . A lovely beach with a reef just offshore , with turtles to feed as well !!
“Great family hotel”
Spent 3 nights here and loved it! Friendly reception staff and great litle family run hotel. The room had 2 double beds, a full kitchen and dining area which opened onto a balcony over the swimming pool and bar facing the beautiful beach - the view of the azure sea is the best I have ever seen!! The beach is quiet with a little reef to explore ( although I found teh currents a bit strong for snorkelling unless you just drift with them ). Also, the locals feed the turtles on the beach next door every day so you are practically guaranteed to see them! There's a supermarket 5 minutes up the road which has all the basics and lots of bars etc along the road behind the hotel. Overall, I'd definitely stay again for a relaxing break and would recommend it for families or couples alike.
“we would go back!”
Our week visit to Coral Sands was wonderful. We travelled as a family of 5 with teenage/adult children, over New Year's holiday. The staff is very friendly and available to ensure our stay was as pleasant as possible: from booking snorkeling excursions to restaurant suggestions. The location is a quick walk from a number of good restaurants. We found the pool area to be a bit small but given that the hotel sits on the beach, it really didn't matter all that much to my kids. The rooms are efficiency styled which allowed us to prepare breakfast as well as keep snacks /beverages available. Each room has a balcony that faces the ocean which is such a unique asset! The hotel is small which ensured a quiet and relaxing experience.
“Fantastic!”
I have visited Barbados a number of times and this is by far the cleanest accommodation that I have ever stayed in. The location is excellent with a good supermarket close by and some very good restaurants a short walk away. This is a self catering holiday resort with all rooms having good facilities, microwave, large fridge freezer, hob etc. All rooms have a wonderful sea view which does not come with any extra supplement! If you are looking for a hotel with live music, entertainment etc then this is not for you but if you are wanting a very relaxing, peaceful holiday then dont hesitate to book Coral Sands Beach Resort. I will definitely be going back.
“Away from the crowd but conveinient to everything”
Coral Sands is in a convenient location but removed from the crowded area. The beach is excellent and loaded with sea turtles to swim with. It is only a ten minute walk to St Lawrence Gap which has plenty of fine restaurants. There is another beautiful beach ten minutes in the other direction. A full size grocery store is a five minute walk and they have shuttle service to take you back to Coral Sands if you don't want to carry your groceries. The island buses are blue with a yellow stripe and the cost is $1.00 US or $2.00 BD. I would suggest not taking the yellow bus with a blue stripe or the white vans with a red stripe. Mostly locals use them and they are very overcrowded. We used the bus to go to Bridgetown and also to Oistin's fish market which is a must do on Friday night starting around 6:00 pm. We never needed to call a taxi. The hotel was mostly couples without children. The views are beautiful from all rooms. Request a room not on ground level to get a better view.
“Can't wait to go back!”
The hotel was just as in the pictures and I was not disapointed at all. What a wonderful place to stay, very convenient to the local stores, restaurants, banks, post office or prepare your own meals in the fully equipped kitchen. Plenty of storage for clothes in bedroom and bathroom. Safe in room was very convenient. The entire suite is very spacious and the balcony offers beautiful views at all times. We staid in 407. It was very quiet and peaceful. Took a tour of the island (hired a driver, arranged by front desk) and had lunch at Sand Dunes restaurant on the east coast. Very good local food. The entire tour took 6.5 hours but so well worth it to hire someone who can take you places and tell you about the history of it all. Also went to Plantation one evening, food was ok but the show was a lot of fun. Oistins on Friday night is a must do. Taking the small white vans is so easy and cheap ($1 US each way) and it's a fun experience. Walked the boardwalk, which is very nice. You need to walk a little ways to get to it, take a left at end of driveway and walk until you can access a beach from the street, walk that beach then the boardwalk is at the end of that beach. The beach behind hotel is small but not ever crowded, and neither is the pool area. We had the entire pool area to ourselves for several hours one day. The constant breeze really helps. We also saw sea turtles in the water just left of the hotel. Felt very safe in Barbados, can't wait to go back.
“Superb holiday!”
The hotel is in a great location and the rooms are comprehensively equiped, well maintained and very clean. Position on the South coast of the Island is very convienient meaning your can get to beaches, restaurants and attractions very easily. Reception staff were very helpful in booking excursions and making restaurant reservations. Great to find there are Turtles in the lagoon just off the beach in front of the Hotel.
“Great place to relax!”
We had a wonderful relaxing holiday at this hotel. Front reception desk staff were very helpful with questions we had about finding places and reserved a table for us at a lovely indian restaurant we had read about. Cleaning staff are excellant and always on the go doing something, they even washed dishes I left a couple of times. The beds are really comfortable, with big fluffy pillows. There is plenty cupboard space for all your clothes and his and her sinks in the bathroom.
“Very charming hotel.”
I would recommend this small hotel : Nice and big rooms facing the sea, with a Colonial type of furniture, balcony, kitchenette, big bathroom, most comgortable beds. Very clean. Very good hotel services, -with a delayed laundry service, but management did everything to solve the pb. The beach is small, but is broader on each side. Convenient shops + restaurants next door.
