“An excellent Barbados vacation spot”
This is a great hotel for families and was very relaxing
“Wonderful place”
The people at this Hotel were friendly, and helpful the grounds are beautiful the restaurants are average at best but the location is great couple minutes from Ositens 10 minute ride to Bridgetown, we enjoyed having a car, would not ecommend an all in clusive stay in Barbados I think you have to get out and see the entire Island and where this Hotel is located is perfect for that kind of trip. Their were several families with kids at the hotel, and it seemed like a good place for them, safe, clean, we had agreat trip!
“Vacation Excellence”
The resort is well situated The courtesy and attention of the staff was excellent. The room and facilities were first class and spotlessly clean. There is nothing negative that I can say about the presentation of the facility and the wonderful people. The food in the restaurant was very good if a little pricy. I expect this when on vacation. There were shops close by where groceries could be purchased and prepared in the room if guests should chose. I would recommend the Bougainvillea to anyone without hesitation and hope we can visit again in the future. Bill
“This is a good hotel”
This is a good hotel. Staff are attentive, accomodations are good. The kitchenette facility is especially useful. Only a 5 minute taxi drive to Supermarket at Oistons to stack up on provisions. The Beach area is superb. Spotlessly clean and tidy. Good surf for body boards. Overall, I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel. We will be back!
“Will go back”
This is not the fanciest hotel we have ever visited but the people at all levels could not have been more accommodating, more dedicated to handling our every request or more pleasant to deal with. The room was not the most lavish but provided more than enough space, completely clean and comfortable. When we return to Barbados you will find us at the Bougainvillea.
“We felt like staying more.”
It worths the value of the money. The entire hotel is conducive. It is situated on a lovely beach side. Infact, you don't need to leave the hotel environment because you have everything you need at your finger tip. The entire staffs are also very friendly and welcoming. I don't usually write reviews about things like this but Bougainvillea worths more than that. My wife said whenever she is coming again, she will not hesitate choosing this hotel.
“tropical holiday”
This was an attractive, comfortable low key resort to visit with my teenage daughter. The other guests were low key and well behaved.
“Grand kids loved it”
Our Grand children loved going from the beach, to the water, to the pool and then back to the beach. The breakfast was included in our package but it wasn't too good. The service was poor and it took a long time to get your food. We have been here before and they had a buffet for breakfast and that was better. One day my wife asked for decaf coffee. The waitress said she would have to make it and was back in no time. The next day we again asked for decaf and were told they don't have decaf. Breakfast was the worst part of the trip but the rest of the resort was fine.
“Every thing I had ever hoped for”
We loved everything about our stay. The view was perfect, palm trees, white sandy beach, to the side beautifully kept gardens surrounding our pools. Enjoyed the Lanterns by the Sea restaurant, good food, lovely setting. We also liked listening to the live entertainment,at the beach and from our balcony. With the pools open until 10:00 pm, we could cool off after a hot day, before heading to our room for the night. The rooms and grounds were kept exceptionally clean. Hopefully we will have an opportunity to return to this ideal resort, and once again enjoy this beautiful beach, and surrounding area
“Great family winter escape”
Excellent resort on the south coast (Maxwell Beach) with a fantastic beach. The employees were helpful and friendly. Rooms have full kitchens (studios have kitchenettes). Service in the two restaurants is not great and menu variety is somewhat limited (especially for vegetarians and others with special diets). Towels, umbrellas, and beach toys are provided. Would definitely stay there again.
