“Barbados Beach Resort”
Wonderful hotel! We were extremely pleased with the hotel, its grounds and landscaping, the beach, and our room. The only discrepancy was that I had reserved a deluxe, oceanfront studio suite which was described as a two-room suite and there were indeed such accomodations...but not ours. The room was extremely nice, but we had to have a cot brought in, rather than using a sofabed as we'd expected. This wasn't a showstopper, though. Great vacation overall.
“fun trip”
i had a great time food was good i love it staff was very friendly beach very clean
“Middle of the road”
The staff absolutely made this hotel, they were very courteous, well mannered and friendly. It's an old hotel getting refurbished this fall.Fabulous views from just about everywhere, the rooms were clean, having said all thisif you are looking for a gastronomic delight you have come to the wrong place, there was lots of food on the buffet but badly presented and cooked. The bar area was pretty dingy but as i said the staff made it for us and i can't say enough about them.Would i go back?Maybe aftyer the refurbishment.Oh yes they had entertainment nightly, the band, limbo dancer and fireeater were awful and need to be changed.
“Not a bad place to stay!”
My Partner and i stayed for the week and were not all inclusive. We were told and saw that it is better that way as the food was not the greatest compared to places near by. The staff were polite and very helpfull which made up for the one or two beach bums that offered all forms of adult recreation! The hotel has a wonderfull beach and fantastic views. There is a car rental company next door and a brilliant little bar to that which is very reasonable and most conveinient for a decent snack or a dinner if desired. Refirbishment is taking place but it is in Bajan time! However it doesn't really interfere with your stay there.
“nice but not paradise”
This hotel was okay, but the staff and workers were fantastic and did all they could to make you happy....I would just say that if you show up expecting paradise you will be let down...but hey, a hotel is a hotel....
“Laid Back Hotel for older people”
Hotel was of average appearance. Cleanliness was a plus. Staff was accommodating but moved to island time- slow. The food was EXCELLENT. A nice variety was available at each meal. The majority of the guests were late sixities to early seventies. The Hotel lacked a fun atmosphere. There wasn't any lively island music out by the pool.Beach area isn't very large, but nice. Evening entertainment had alot to be desired. Bingo just doesn't cut it! Out of a six night stay, there was only ONE night of excellent entertainment. If you're looking for a place to just kick back and relax(do nothing) this would be the place for you.
“Good location”
Food just ok Ceiling leaked during heavy rainstorm
“Non-inclusives be wary”
Overall, the hotel was very pleasant with nice views of the ocean. The staff was cordial but were not overly friendly. We were 2 of only 4 people not on all-inclusive during our stay and we felt scrutinized and looked down upon numerous times. The hotel is close to the main highway to Bridgetown, which is well worth a visit and can be covered in 1 day. Buses, minivans and cabs are plentiful and rates are reasonable. If you stay here, strongly consider the all-inclusive package.
“Good hotel for the price”
I liked the Barbados Beach Club. My only real issue with it was that I had to drive to "The Gap," which is my favorite area to eat. Also, the buffet food at the hotel was pretty terrible.
“PARADISE”
The front desk service was excellent. All the questions that we had were answered. The front desk personel bent over backwards to make sure that all our needs were met. The breakfast staff were somewhat unfriendly. The housekeeping service was excellent. The fixtures in the bathroom needed to be updated. Sitting on the toilet one had to sit on an angle. But most of all the view of the ocean was to die for. GREAT BEACH!!!!!!
