Allamanda Beach Hotel

“Not bad for the money but definitely needs work”

I find this hotel to be somewhat cozy but some rooms are in desperate need of repair and need new appliances. We were in a room that had a small leak in the bathroom. We were showed 2 other rooms (1 room was smaller and the other looked nice but the stove was disgusting). The lining to one of the drapes was ripped and the drapes needed washing. The shower was very small and the shower head was a disaster. The red clay tiles on the floor needs to be replaced - they make the room looked very old and dingy

“Paid for what you got”

For the price it was worth it, however, they never had towels available (either bath or pool)which was quite annoying, they would take bath towels in the am & they you would not receive them back until after 5, also I was never able to get more than 2 for my room. The beach in front of the hotel was under construction so we had to go to a beach down the street.

“Appropriate for the busy Vacationer”

This hotel is for the busy vacationer who is always participating in an island activity or a visiting sports team engaged in competition/training. Do not expect 3.5 to 5 Star quality or service. It offers just enough to be comfortable. A huge plus is its location which is approximately 5-15 mins from many of the nightlife activities.

“Location superb. Facilities were clean but dated, Some staff need people skills”

This hotel is in a super location. Having read some previous comments I noted the receptionist could be Austere, we were not disappointed as we did seem to be an inconveinience arriving mid afternoon. Our Twin bedded room was clean and comfortable, the furnishings are dated but you have all you need, We were going to stay at our own apartment after our short stay at the Alamanda During our stay the Manager was away and some members of staff were not as pleasant as you expect. However we did call later during our vacation when the Manager was back on-site and saw a marked improvement The food served is very good, The Buffet was excellent. The Entertainment was also very good for an hotel off this size Would we visit this hotel again Yes

“good value for the money”

Overall very good value for money, located right on the Boardwalk and near to most facilities.

“Not impressed, but kind service & good price”

Nice overall service. Not impressed because of the good bu not terrific view, not an excellent but good room service, safe and clean, good bed, small TV and wired "have to pay and expensive" internet on room, lack of cream, shampoo, rinse, bathtub, others...

“Adequate for the Budget Minded”

Great Pool and bar. The beach is right behind the hotel.

“Excuses”

We expected a room with at least two beds for me and teenage son. front desk assigned refused to give us that option. Switched us to another room with two double beds joined, was told that maintenance was not available to seperate. There was no one available either to take luggage to rooms, and no elevators. Stairs are long and narrow, we were two flights up in th efirst assigned room, then later two flights back down to the second room. Day Staff i encountered unfriendly. Attitude seems to be 'whatever' The hotel in general appears short staff, it took more than 5 hours to have room made after requesting service. We settled for fresh towels.

room was clean and dishes left in the sink for two days.
