“very nice place to stay”

the condition of the hotel was a 3 because they are under renovations other wise it would be a 5 very comfortable rooms very nice employees very helpful will return again

“Perfect place for us”

we went to Bangor for Black Friday, the hotel was perfect, not to far away and the price was awesome!! It was clean and tidy and very quiet.

After booking our room, I read some of the reviews and was wondering if I should make some other choice. We didn't find any problem with our room and the hotel service.

“pleasantly surprised”

We read previous comments before going to the Odlin rd Howard Johnson and we were prepared to suffer a bit during our stay. We brought our sleeping bags and pillows, own towels and absolutely, slippers. I forgot my swimming shoes for the shower. I knew what to bring from past experience... oh, I forgot to say, our own TP and tissues, sometimes we bring a cleaner. We had to buy one in Gorham just outside of North Conway. The Howard Johnson winter rate is excellent and this is why we opted to stay there. The price is superb and we suspect it won't stay there very long. Take advantage of the deal while it is still low. I was told the hotel was recently acquired by a new owner and renovations are now in process. Our unit had been completely redone and very fresh. Included was a large screen tv, microwave and refrigerator. Hallway carpets have yet to be changed and dining room-lounge is not open.

“We will return”

Two couples rented rooms here for a three night stay. The rooms were comfortable, clean and well maintained with refridgerators, new LCD TV's and microwave ovens and coffee makers. The price is very reasonable and the restaurant food excellent. This was our second stay at this hotel and it keeps improving each year.

Front desk staff was very helpful and tried to please any request i had. The room was very quiet even though it was near the airport. Every time i go to Bangor, this is the place i stay and haven't been dissapointed yet. There is no indoor pool, however, it's OK with us as we don't usually bring the kids with us and also, less families go there because of it.

A pleasant stay with avery comfortablle bed and pillow. would like to buy these pillows for myself at home. Room did take a while to warm up as it was a very cold night and the heat was turned off when we arrived.

“Good Value”

The Good:price was good, room was clean and comfy, wireless worked fine, has an in house restaurant. Day I was leaving there was also a delivery of numerous new mattresses so beds should be quite comfy at time of writing. The Bad: no recycling for garbage. Need a car if you're looking to go shopping - malls not walking distance. The Ugly:hotel is a bit dated looking - may be a good thing if you like nostalgia :)

we read the reviews and were concerned,but pleasantly surprised. No it is not fancy,reception decor was very basic,staff friendly and helpful.Room clean and bathroom clean good shower pressure.awesome heated outdoor pool,steaming in the evening and clean.Great location,amidst lots of hotels and across the street from a convenience store.
