“A really great find!”
We loved this hotel, great staff, really nice rooms and a good location walking distance from lots of the attractions and an easy taxi ride to many others. They do an early breakfast which is great if you are going on tours. We had lunch in their restaurant and it was great.
“Excellent!”
Excellent hotel, I stayed there a couple of weeks ago and really liked it. It is quiet and clean, just what you want after a busy day in the hot and not very clean streets of Bangkok! The staff is very nice and discreet, they are not pushing you to buy anything or accept expensive services like taxi rides or massage. The staff is very polite and the food of the restaurant excellent. The room was clean and spacious, with a king size bed and a balcony. Only drawback: there is meat market a bit further on the street which is quite smelly when you pass it, but it is not really a problem. Highly recommended place to stay!
“Can't wait to go back”
The staff/Crew were Nice kind and Good attitude especially the front desk and the door guy very friendly and always smiling. The complimentary breakfast was good.Fresh fruits my girlfriend and i like it or maybe we just like fruits in the morning.
“Excellent service, great budget hotel = return there everytime”
We have stayed at this hotel several times and the service is always impeccable without being ott! Breakfast is more than adequate and the food generally is of good standard. The staff are fantastic - there is nothing too much for them and they always greet you with a genuine smile. The rooms are comfortable and functional although the air-con can be a bit noisy and difficult to control. Would defnately recommend this hotel
“Hotel bien situé au centre de bangkok à conseiller”
proche des boutiques, marchés ambassade de france et facile d'accès par le métro aérien. Vie nocturne assez proche. Petit dèj sympa, personnel très compétent et gentil
“Nice and good value for money”
We really liked this hotel. It is a bit tired, but well kept, clean and comfortable. The staff were always attentive and helpful. Breakfast, included, was simple , cooked, adequate and varied slightly from day to day. Internet was free. It is in a backstreet behind Silom road, That area of Silom Road is a bit up market, while the streets behind are narrower with lots of local stalls. Thus you get the best of both worlds, and at breakfast you look out onto the real Bangkok, rather than the main road scene.
“A Great Spot in Bangkok”
I love this hotel. The breakfast buffet is fabulous. The staff is extraordinarily helpful and cheerful. The rooms are not fantastic, but they're clean and spacious enough. The location is great as well; just around the corner from a market full of all that good Thai street food and fresh fruit. I've stayed there on four occasions and when I return to Bangkok, I'll check there for a room before going elsewhere.
“Great value and location”
This hotel is in a side street off Silom Road, one of the main shopping and eating strips of Bangkok. Its being in a side street means that there is less noice and although I noticed that someone commented upon the unattractiveness of the side street this is not a serious problem. After all, it is Bangkok, too. The hotel is a long way from the tourist area if you walk, but the area is quite easily accessible if you are willing to walk fifteen minutes to the boat which takes you up the river to that area for a derisory amount of money. I found this hotel extremely comfortable, with spacious rooms and comfortable beds and staff who who do as much as they could to ensure a pleasant stay. It was excellent value and might pass for three-and-a-half stars. Highly recommended!
“Wonderful Stay”
The Silom City Hotel was a wonderful stay that was located on a nice quiet side street that was accessible to everything I wanted. I stayed on the 12 floor which had a good view of the city. The room was a bit dated but had been maintained well so there werent any problems with the accommodations. There was a sitting area and large refrigerator, I asked for a safe and received a lock barrel for the one that was located in the closet. The bathroom was a bit small but nothing you cant live with. Front desk and lobby staff (spoke good English) were very helpful and friendly and took care of anything I needed. I could even reload my cell phone right there. Breakfast was simple fare but all you could eat. Coffee was good. The in-house massage staff(also spoke good English)... I cant say enough positive about them. Excellent Thai massage! Highly recommended. If you want something other than Thai massage head out for a tuktuk to Papong. Maybe living the last year in Afghanistan makes me appreciate things differently but for the price (and I got the Deluxe Suite Plus room) makes it hard to beat. The location can be a bit tough for cabbies so just bring the phone number and they can call for the location. Once there you can walk to at least one temple and grab any other transportation to all the rest easily. If your on the same side of the river you can always grab a tuktuk back to the Silon City.
