I stayed at Citadines Sukhumvit for 6 nights from the 23rd of January. It was my first visit to Thailand. I got to the hotel within an hour from BKK. The lobby was nice and the room was well-equipped. The shower was good and the bed was comfortable. The second morning, as I was waiting for my parents to join me, the guy at reception asked whether he should install the roll-away bed in the room. I was very impressed as I hadn't even asked yet. There was some work going on in the restaurant at the time but we hardly even heard anything.
The hotel is within 10 minutes walk to both the skytrain and the metro and of course there is a free tuktuk service. It was very convenient and we took public transport to most of the attractions.
The only slight problem that we had was that the girls at reception did not speak very good English and I had to repeat my requests for an additional set of cutlery. If I went to Thailand again, I would definitely stay there again.

Excellent value for money (low season), and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the room. Do not be put off by the massage shops, and the facade outside, which is average, as the money has been spent inside (recently renovated rooms). Whilst you will not benefit from some of the amenities you would have at a hotel with higher classification, these are readily available a street away at the sister hotel. Contrary to some people exclaiming safety concerns given that the street lies in an entertainment district, anyone acquainted with Bangkok will know that these are the best areas to reside, as the red light element is interspersed with a variety of regular pubs, restaurants and hawker food vans you would not get in other areas, and is in fact as safe as houses (apart from stray dogs that roam about after hours). I do not normally go out of my was to write reviews, but so happy was I at the value for money with this hotel I have done so, as it deserves some recognition.
Had a free room upgrade. Can only say it was almost an apartment !!Very impressed with everything.Only drawback was a little out of the way, however the free transport to Sukumvit was very welcome.Superb start to holiday.
The 2 bedroom apartment was excellent. Very spacious for family of 5. Very clean. Would definitely stay again and recommend. Make sure the taxi know which hotel to take you as there is 2 Oakwood in Bangkok.

We booked 2 executive rooms without breakfast for 2 nights but when we reach the staff told us that the rooms are full and down grade the room to superior room. The executive room will only be available on the second night. This is really not acceptable by us. However, the staff offer us 2 days of breakfast, free extra bed for third person and change to executive room on second night and we agreed with their offer. First night we stay at 8th floor. Everything is okay accept the water pressure are low and the hot water shower is finish after the second person take bath. Second night we get the room at 3rd floor and everything is okay including high pressure hot water shower. The rooms are huge and clean and the staff are helpful and friendly.
