“Will definately do it again!”
Canmore is such a beautiful spot and this hotel has gorgeous mountain views and a great hot tub and outdoor pool. Loved being outside in a warm pool while it was snowing ans suronded by the mountains!
“Nice place”
Picked this hotel based on the Expedia reviews and wasn't disappointed. The hotel staff were very courteous and helpful. The room was clean and extremely spacious. The kitchen and living room were separate from the bedroom. The living room and bedroom each had a TV with a DVD player. The kitchen had a full size fridge, dishes, toaster, kettle, microwave, and even a dishwasher. The pool facilities were very nice - used them twice. Cons: arrived at night and found it difficult to find this hotel as it was at the end of a very long dark road. Part of the place is condos, the other sections get rented out I guess. The facility goes by 2 other names. Even the staff at several businesses where we stopped to ask for directions had never heard of "The Resort at Canmore Banff". Nice place though...would stay there again.
“RESORT AT CANMORE”
First to clarify, the real name of this place is Worldmark by Wyndham. It is a really nice place to stay and particularly if you have family,or just want to stay somewhere quiet. The resort is not situated in down town but rather on the top of the hill and approximately 2miles from town centre. The surrounding area is of outstanding beauty. The resort is clean and staff at reception is friendly and kind to guests. Every apartment has very comfortable bed(s),sofa(s),Sony TV/DVD and CD player that can play mp3.The kitchen and bathroom are very good too. The best part of resort is their jacuzzi, sauna and outdoor pool.Yes it was possible to swim in that pool even when outside temperature was -30C ! I particularly liked underground heated garage and laundrette tha you can use free of charge. However there are few points to take into account. There is no room service there but really, you won't need it. Also there is no point to be in this place unless you have your own car/rent a car.In winter time it absolute must to have 4WD vehicle,or you might have some difficulty to get there. Canmore is a beautiful place, close to many national parks and ski resorts. The entrance to national park(s) is approximately 20$ daily, but there are lot of other nice places/trails that you don't need to pay entrance. Other tips:Buy food from safeway or sobeys.Though its not cheap, its still much cheaper then to eat in restaurants. There is also McDonald's and Wendy's in Canmore. Hope this will be of help.
“Great Place but no Housekeeping!”
It was a great place to stay. We LOVED the whole place, town and our stay. The only thing that would have made this hotel over the top is housekeeping service. No new towels, no coffee, no beds being made etc. Considering the price point of the hotel the least they could have done was provide these basic services. But all in all we will stay there again.
“A home away from home, excellent value! :)”
Booked this hotel, not even realising its now part of the Wyndham chain. When we got there, WOW! What a find! Immaculate grounds, hotel building and rooms. For the price I paid for two people, my girlfriend and I, it was amazing value. The studio room was bigger than my apartment!!!
“Hope Expedia can still book here.”
Hotel was beautifully situated with wonderful views. It is clean, comfortable and inviting. A short drive from downtown.
“was fine”
We wouldn't have changed our minds about going, even if we had known or been able to figure out that it was not a hotel, but it was a bit of a surprise at check in. Nice hot tubs. TV was a little confusing and the channels didn't seem to work all the time - but not the resort's fault, seemed to be the cable company.
“Great relaxing hotel on the outskirts of Canmore!”
We really enjoyed our stay! We actually drove by it at first because it looked too fancy to be the place that we could be staying. The location is great, because it's just outside the downtown, right beneath the mountains. We were able to park underground. The pool area was gorgeous! Our room was really clean and the kitchen was fully equipped. Definitely a great deal! I would definitely stay here again.
“Clean, cosy, and quiet”
We stayed in the hotel for a short two-night stay and were pleased with our experience. The hotel was clean, rooms were cosy and staff were friendly. The lobby offered computers with internet, pool table, arcade and a DVD library. Also, nightly movies were shown in the room just off the lobby. We liked that the hotel was quiet and the fully equipped kitchenette in the room. Next visit, we will try to get a room with a fireplace.
“Beautiful Resort in a quiet area”
It is a very nice resort and well looked after. It is located on the side of the mountain, south of the Bow River and townsite in a quiet neighborhood.
