“Great service in a charming hotel”

Very nice and pleasant service in a well-run, well appointed and charming hotel in a great location. Loved that they had a shuttle to the Lake Louise ski resort and a ski rental shop right in the hotel.

“Dream Vacation”

We had the pleasure of spending a week at The Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise on the gold floor. It was a perfect vacation. The room was very clean and comfortable and the marble bathroom had all the necessary amenities. The Fairmont Gold Lounge was a great place for breakfast and evening snacks. I enjoyed our personal chief who made delicious omelette's or eggs of your choice in the morning. The only thing that I wasn't aware of is that you have to pay an additional park fee to enter Banff National Park since the hotel is located in the park plus a charge for parking the car at the hotel. That was our only surprise--but still it was a dream vacation.

“Mountain Retreat”

Awesome little get-a-way. Many various activities in Lake Louise, along with Banff which is only 30-50 minute drive. Staff was attentive and makes you feel very welcome. For sure would plan another weekend get-a-away to the same place.

“Good value”

Although at first blush this hotel seems quite expensive, the Chateau Lake Louise's least expensive room rate offers excellent value. The room was much more nicely appointed than expected. Very comfortable, beautiful bathroom with heated floors (a nice touch, since we stayed in the winter) and quick, efficient room service. The only complaint I would have regarding room service is that 'delivery fee' and 'gratuity' are separate items, included in the room service bill. That means that room service staff should not be tipped directly, but we had no way of knowing that until after she had already been tipped. Then we saw the bill slipped under the door, and realized that we had to 'tip' again in order to square the bill. The restaurants were first-rate, front-desk staff helpful, and the hotel, overall was basically gorgeous. Last item: parking is outrageously priced, and if you self-park, the charge is the same as valet parking.

“Fairmont Chateau staff is incredible!”

The quality of staff can make or break a hotel visit. In my opinion, the staff at the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise has to be in the top 5% in the world. We spent 5 days at the Chateau mid-July 2009. Everything was perfect. We kept expecting to find something--however minor--to complain about during our stay. Nothing, absolutely nothing went wrong. Our future travel plans will now be built around the availability of other Fairmont properties.

“Chateau Lake Louise - my 50th Birthday Celebration”

We had an absolutely fabulous time. The hospitality was excellent - we were spoiled by the staff; the location is one of the wonders of the world; the faciities, food, and activities were wonderful! Our concierge, Caitlin, made this week and extra-special week for us. We'll definitely be back!

“Chateu Lake Louise”

This was our second time to stay in the Chateau Lake Louise. The grounds are beautiful. For an older building it is well maintained. Our room was quiet and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was wonderful. The Deli has chocolate chip cookies to die for. There are many hiking trails available. The staff was friendly and courteous.

“Beautiful, but a bit spendy”

The hotel is situated at a beautiful location, and overall is a wonderful find. Only complaint is the hotel restraunts are a bit spendy even at the casual ones. Bring plenty of spending money.
