“History, tradition, location and great service”
This hotel that has an immense presence and is beautifully situated by the lake. On entering hotel you can immediately sense the history, the traditions and magnificense of a great hotel. Rooms are small but very well appointed and the views of the lake are spectacular. We also found the food was very good if a little expensive. I would highly recommend a stay here.
“The most beautiful place on earth!!!”
Just be sure to spend the extra couple bucks for the lakeview room. Spectacular!! The ride in from Calgary was not bad at all. No scary cliffside roads. And once you get up to Lake Louise....WOW!!! Hotel service was excellent for us, but we were there during their slow season, so we got alot of attention. Overall, beautiful, luxurious and quiet place. We enjoyed our anniversary very much here!!
“my favorite hotel”
everything is wonderful i want a go every year
“Good hotel, but it could be less expensive.”
Good hotel, but it could be less expensive, specially don't charge the parking.
“Simply top totch”
This famed resort is simply top notch, from facility to surroundings. It is even better because we came in the low season, with less traffic and less than half the summer rates. The view (especially if you get a lake view room) is nothing short of breathtaking. Getting out and having the lake and glacier all to yourself before the bus loads of tourists come is an advantage worth every penny of the still substantial price. Looking at the first ray of sun painting the tip of glacier pink is just magical. I heard someone "complain" about the almost too perfect scenery: "no one will believe me, this has to be photoshop, it is just too perfect."
“Best Service We've Ever Experienced!”
We were absolutely enthralled by the world-class view from our room. The amenities were extensive, and the service was outstanding. We enjoyed our stay immensely, and can't wait to take our (adult) children!
“breath taking views”
View was beaurtiful -liked it better than banff fairmont- a little cozier- food prices expensive but overall magnificent!
“Very Impressed”
the only complaint I have is the temperature of the rooms. During the day (we had a lakeview room) the room got VERY hot, and took a long time to cool off at night. No Air Conditioning made it sort of uncomfortable. BUT everything else was excellent.
“Expensive, but good location”
The good: - clean rooms - great location, fancy looking hotel - great service - good chocolate croissants in the bakery The bad: - the hot tub and pool were old/dirty, and has a view to a parking deck - inconsistent hot water in the shower - bay windows are only for restaurant customers - no free wifi - no free parking Our friends stayed at the Post Hotel and Spa, they had bigger rooms, free wifi, and complimentary coffee/tea/fruit every day. The post didn't have a great view, but the parking was free, the rooms were clean, and the pool area was much more clean/modern. The fairmont was ok, but given the choice, we'd stay at the Post next visit.
“Breathtaking”
The Fairmont does need a face lift. I noticed the loveseats in the lobby are very worn and could use reupolstering. The room itself overall was in good condition. Considering it is an upscale hotel I think it should be maintained a little better. Very busy with all the visitors(which was expected)and dining options limited and very expensive. I noticed many people went to the market to purchase food and ate in their rooms. They provided a small refrigerator and microwave. Doesn't really make sense, perhaps they should make their eateries more affordable.
