“Fantastic Banff- Can't wait for my next stay”
Bit pricey but worth every penny. What a place, can't think of anything to complain about. I'm sure we could have stayed at any place in Banff and been happy but the hotel was fantastic if not a bit stuffy....
“Stunning architecture”
Gorgeous, castle like hotel with impeccable service and attention to detail. Would highly recommend!
“A majestic hotel in the Rockies”
From the broad range of excellent restaurants and shops to the world class spa and services, there is no need to leave the hotel. Nearby Banff provides additional charming restaurants and shops to explore. Combine this with incredible views, hiking trails and plenty of outdoor activities for the whole family and this is truly a unique vacation spot year round. Favorite activities included afternoon tea and time at the spa.
“Worth every penny”
This is a first class Hotel. The Hot Springs pool was awesome at night. The moon coming up over the snow covered mountains, with deer coming up and laying on the grass next to the pool The Hotel is like stepping back in time to a fantasy era.
“Webb Family”
The hotel is in a beautiful location, $25 to park the car daily I think is a bit high. The amentities are great and the whole experience was well worth the money. The hotel is getting a bit dated now but aleast I can now say I stayed there. 3 times more expensive thatn staying at local hotels.
“Fairmont Banff Springs - mid-October”
If you're looking for a little escape from the daily grind and want something that lets your mind slip into neutral, then consider the Fairmont Banff Springs in October. The casual opulence of the Fairmont Banff Springs is warm and relaxing with thick stone and warm wood throughout. Nestled within the mountains of Banff, Alberta, you are treated to panoramic vistas wherever you look, not to mention the 'Million Dollar View' which the hotel was built to take advantage of back in the early 1900's. "If we can't export the scenery, we'll import the tourists!" This was the moto of Mr. Van Horne, who was commisioned by the Canadian Natrional Railway (CNR), to construct the Banff Springs hotel in the early 20th century, in hopes of bring Europian tourists to Canada. Well, they succeded, and this Canadian will certainly be heading back when my head is full and in need of draining.
“Pure elegance”
Truly the castle in the mountains. First class service, first class food, and first class views.
“An Impressive Experience”
From the time we drove up to the front door until we drove away from the Banff Springs Hotel, the hotel never ceased to impress us. The people were friendly and accomodating, the surroundings were spectacular and the view from our window was postcard-like. A magical evening to say the least. I hope to visit this hotel again before too long. Banff Springs is unbelieveable!
“beautiful, but pricey”
Our rooms were not what we saw on the internet site, however, after visiting with the manager and the wonderful folks at the front desk, it got resolved and the stay was probably one of the best family vacations ever. My husband and I had stayed there before and it was just at lovely.
“Absolutely unreal, beautiful!”
Our family of five (3 girls) absolutely loved our stay in this castle, we explored the grounds and all the beautiful lounges, halls, rooms, to find castle knights, hidden halls, etc. The service was first class all the way. This was a once in a lifetime event, as it was a little spendy...But our room was upgraded to above the ninth floor, two elevators to get to our room!
