“Will be going there again!!!!”

This was an amazing location! It was right in the heart of downtown! I didn't have to drive for three days as everything was in walking distance! I would highly recommend this hotel. There were only a couple things; the lighting was very poor in the bathroom and there was no mini-fridge so unless you bring a cooler you are hooped! But other than those little details a very good stay at a decent price! It's great to have the Tony Roma's right in the hotel and the city at your fingertips!

We got the hotel for a great price, and didn't expect much for what we were paying... upon arrival they complimentary upgraded us and our room was AMAZING! Everyone who worked there was friendly and ensured our stay was perfect! I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone. The location itself is perfect... very close to everything and right on the main strip through town. :)

“Clean, Good View”

We switched to this hotel after a horrific experience elsewhere in Banff-- and we were extremely pleased. With a reasonable rate, clean, large, comfortable room overlooking downtown and views of the mountains-- it was everything we expected. The bathrooms were pretty tiny and a bit dark-- but clean and functioning. Just saying if you're looking for a jacuzzi tub-- don't go for a standard room. Also loved having the restaurant just downstairs-- it smelled so good! Also parking was FREE with this hotel-- unlike our other hotel across the street. Staff were polite and fast.

Great stay in a nice, charming lodge in the middle of downtown Banff at a reasonable rate.

“Great location, great hotel”

The location of Mount Royal is perfect, right in the middle of everything. Our room was on the back side of the hotel, away from Banff Avenue, and was very quiet. The water pressure was good, the hot water was hot and the cold water was cold. The room was kind of small, but we spent very little time in the room so it did not really matter. The bed was comfortable and the room was very clean. We would definitely stay at the Mount Royal again.

“great stay”

We stayed at this hotel in october. The staff was very friendly and always interested in any concerns you might have. It was our one year wedding anniversary and one of the staff members slipped a congratulation on you 1 year anniversary card under our door. To us,that added to our wonderful stay. Our room was nice but the bathroom floor was extreamly cold. Nothing slippers couldn't fix. The hotel is very old but is well maintained. They allow pets which alot of places don't. Overall our satisfaction was great and we would definatly stay there again.

“Great location, close to everything”

Good sized room, very clean. The bathroom was large. Great location, right in the heart of Banff near all the shops and restaurants. Laundry in hotel was handy but could have had more washing machines and dryers on each level. I had to keep running up and down stairs to watch the washing.

“Very impressed”

This hotel was rated a three star. It far exceded our expectations. Given the prime main street location, comfort of the room, free parking and breath taking view.......who could not be impressed. Our room was located facing the Banff Ave. We were concerned with the noise factor for sleeping.....but we were pleasantly surprised with the quiteness. We would definately rate this hotel a four star for sure....
