“Winefest Weekend!”
The hotel shows it's age but is very clean and has super friendly staff! We stayed in a Jr. suite and it was super roomy. It is also close to the main hub of downtown. Would definitely return and recommend.
“Would definitely stay again!”
Found this to be a great stay for the price. Stayed July 30-Aug 1 2011. The front desk staff were very friendly. Has a continental breakfast which is a good start to the day. Didn't spend a lot of time in room as we were there to revisit Banff but the time we did it was quiet and relaxing. Would stay here again and recommend to our friends.
“Better Than Expected”
We got an awesome rate on this hotel considering it is right in Banff and includes b'fast. I was a little disappointed with the exterior but inside it is beautiful. Housekeeping only happens every three days - to 'save the environment'! They will come more if you ask though. B'fast was cereal, muffins, fruit (gone quickly), coffee, juice, pre made waffles - not bad but not great. Location is great - nice balcony too. For the price I would definately return.
“Will go back next ski trip”
We have stayed at the High Country Inn 3 times. The room are a good size. We had 4 adults and all their skiing gear and there was lots of room. The continental breakfast as a good variety to choose from. The pool was warm and there were 2 hot tubs so there was no problem with crouding. It's in good walking distance to shops and resterants.
“Excellent Value In Banff!”
The room had a nice view, spacious, fridge which was handy. The breakfast was excellent for a continental. Location was very close to downtown. Overall a great stay!!!
“One night stay”
We had no problems at this hotel. I found the beds to be very comfortable and the staff very friendly. We asked for a late check out and it was granted no problem. Infact, I left the room to go to enjoy the continetal breakfast and the house keeping was vacuuming the hall way and asked if they were being too noisey. The continetnal breakfast was o.k. The only thing I didn't like was there was WAY to much chlorine in the pool. Our room was also very clean.
“Good price, great extras”
Front desk staff friendly. Heated underground parking. Convenient elevator from parkade made hauling ski equipment to room easy and large closet at front door of room kept ski equipment out of the way while back in our room. Fridge in room was great. Table with 2 chairs for eating. Microwave available to use at front desk. Continental breakfast was amazing, lots of selection and kept supplied (one morning we went at the start, one at the end, and there was lots of food both times). Room was very warm, and there was a door opening to balcony if too warm! Lots of hot water. Comfortable. Clean. Very close to downtown shops, short walk to both "tourist" shopping and grocery store.
“great location, great hot tub!”
we went at a quiet time of year which meant we had the swimming pool and hot tub to ourselves in the evenings - luxury. Rooms good, great to have a balcony with a view of the Rockies. Breakfast a bit basic but ok. Helpful staff.
“Very Happy”
Our rooms was on main street on a weekend so there was a bit of noise from partiers. Other than that it was a great time. The breakfast was pretty good.
“Loved Banff, loved our stay at the High Country Inn”
I stayed at the High Country Inn with my boyfriend on November 3-6, 2010. The front desk staff was very helpful and the lobby was really nice with a beautiful sitting area and a fireplace as well. The rooms were recently renovated and really nice also. The bed was comfortable and the decor was great. The bathroom was small (just the bath/shower and a toilet) but you don't really need that much space anyways. I liked that the sink was outside of the washroom, it was more convienient. There are fridges in the room and there was a nice free continental breakfast in the mornings (including fruit, bagels, waffles, cereal, juice, coffee, tea, and pastries). The pool area is huge with a pool and 2 hottubs. They are in the middle of renovating the breakfast area but I am sure it will be just as nice as the rest of the hotel when it is done. The only negative is that the walls are really thin and we could hear everyone walking up and down the stairs and in the halls. However the hotel wasn't busy so it wasn't a problem for us. Oh yea and there were really nice bath products in the room from Bath and Body works.
