"Room needs service & hallway smells terrible "
Overall it was a nice stay except that the furnace made a terrible smell in the room, the bathroom sink was clogged and the toilet would run the water until we had to lift the top and stop it. We were on the first floor and the whole hallway smelled disgusting, clearly coming from the garbage room. It was also very hard to get ahold of the front desk, I called a few times with no answer. Friday night we rented movies and could not get the DVD player to work and when I finally got ahold of someone at 8pm he said everyone was gone home and could not help us. Also, we mentioned to the front desk that when the fireplace is turned on it melts the bottom of the DVD player, the sticker on it was melted onto the ledge. Would stay at this hotel again but not through paradise, only directly through the grand rockies resort.

"Gorgeous and accommodating."
We stayed in two lovely rooms, both on upper floors of the Glacier wing. One (877) was recently renovated with air conditioning and new furnishings, the other wasn't renovated, but was a larger corner room (684) with views from 2 windows. We had excellent experiences with reception, even a special treat sent to our room for our anniversary. Except for one waiter at the Lakeview Lounge, the service was exceptional throughout our stay. The food was very good, and because the hotel is proximate to beautiful trails and canoeing, we didn't leave at all during out 3 day 2 night stay.

"The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. "
The hotel only has 1 elevator to each floor which is time consuming and not very effective. The rugs were stained, but otherwise the beds were comfortable, spacious rooms and well kept. There is no refrigerator or microwave. The service was very friendly by both the desk administrators and the housekeeping staff. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay and would stay again.

"Wonderful condo for a family or 2 couples "
Wonderful location - close to Canmore, Banff. We had a corner unit and the view of the mountains was great. Spacious unit for a family or 2 couples (2 bedrooms/2 baths). Had problems with the TV's not working; called Maintenance and he was right up & fixed the problem. Fireplace did not work. Had problems with the swipe card not wanting to allow us into the bldg. ....patience is required. We booked through Expedia and were told by them that we did not have to put a $50 deposit down on check-in....Incorrect.........Everyone has to put a $50 deposit down for damages/incidentals. The only negative thing was when we were checking out. We had parked outside of the front desk when the Concierge van pulled up, blocked us in where we could not get out. When the male passenger (one of the workers) got out of the van to go inside the front desk area, we said that we were blocked in, and his comment to us was: TELL HER TO MOVE" and he continued to go inside. The driver obviously didn't care if we were blocked in as the van did not move. We were able to back up a few times and squeeze our way out. Kinda left a "bad impression"!!!

"Great 2Bdrm Unit with amazing views!"
My first experience with Rundle Cliffs Lodge was a telephone call from Norma at reception, checking in with me to make sure I didn't have any questions. When I said we were running later than expected and weren't sure we would make it before the office closed, she offered alternative arrangements for us to get the keys. I mentioned that we hadn't eaten and she called around to several restaurants for us to find one that would still be open. She brought us extra coffee to our room for the morning. The room exceeded our expectations. It was furnished comfortably and stocked with plenty of cookware (not that we used it), linens, toiletries, robes, etc. The balcony off the family room and master bedroom offered incredible views. The bedding and mattress were great. Canmore is a great location to explore all the Canadian Rockies have to offer. It is 15-20 minutes outside Banff National Park where there are a multitude of outdoor recreational opportunities- hiking, biking, canoeing, kayaking, etc. Also within day-tripping distance are Yoho and Jasper National Parks and the Peter Lougheed Provincial Park. You could easily spend several weeks here are not get bored. Rundle Cliffs is walking distance to downtown Canmore where there are lots of great dining options. It is more laid back, less crowded and a little less expensive than Banff.

"Preferred Place to Stay in Banff"
We enjoyed our stay at the Rimrock. The room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. They have a nice reading room and spa. We saw wildlife from the hotel. Parking was easy and the hotel was much quieter and less chaotic than the famous hotel in town. Enjoyed having two sinks in the bathroom area so our family of four could get ready faster. The hotel is up Mountain Road so some of the views were very nice. It is very close to the Banff hot springs (you could easily walk there). Would definitely stay there again.
