"Nice for a night away with kids! "
Lovely place for families. It's a bit dated. Could use some upgrades/renovations but the setting incredible and staff super helpful and friendly. Would go back for sure.

"Room needs service & hallway smells terrible "
Overall it was a nice stay except that the furnace made a terrible smell in the room, the bathroom sink was clogged and the toilet would run the water until we had to lift the top and stop it. We were on the first floor and the whole hallway smelled disgusting, clearly coming from the garbage room. It was also very hard to get ahold of the front desk, I called a few times with no answer. Friday night we rented movies and could not get the DVD player to work and when I finally got ahold of someone at 8pm he said everyone was gone home and could not help us. Also, we mentioned to the front desk that when the fireplace is turned on it melts the bottom of the DVD player, the sticker on it was melted onto the ledge. Would stay at this hotel again but not through paradise, only directly through the grand rockies resort.

"Beautiful hotel with horrible service "
Amazing castle with breathtaking views! Downside - the worst service you can imagine. I'm talking employees forgetting to move your bags, rooms not being ready by guaranteed check in time, moving rooms throughout the stay because the system does not allow to merge reservations, etc. rooms are small and have tiny windows but everything else is nice. To be fair service is really bad everywhere in Banff so this hotel is not exception, despite being a luxury property

"Superb hotel. Worth the price though rooms small."
Good service, pleasant staff, expensive but the position warrants a premium. It was very hot when we were there. Room was stuffy and small in those conditions.

"Excellent! "
I read a few reviews saying that the hotel was very dated. The exterior definitely shows that but I was stunned when I walked inside. It must have been renovated recently because it is beautiful inside. Rooms were also amazing. Super comfy beds and our room even had a Keurig. The hotel lounge also surpassed my expectations, the food was very good.
