“Emerald Lake”
A great place to retreat to for winter and for summer...Staff is incredibly thoughtful about everything
“One of my all time favourite hotels”
Wonderful location at the Emerald lake. Surrounded by beautiful mountains. Having dinner in the restaurant while seeing the sun set is a one of my fond memories. It is a hotel with atmosphere, not just a business hotel. Rooms are cosy. Friendly employees. Busy with day tourists during the day, but gives me a privileged feeling to be here when things quiet down in the late afternoon. Excellent hide-away. Don't expect to be entertained, but enjoy the calm comfort and nature here. Cilantro's is an informal, creative restaurant (good food at reasonable price), while the Mount Burgess dining room is more traditional, yet in a good (but not excellent) way (good enough to thoroughly enjoy breakfast and dinner). Staff is friendly and helpfull. Together with the Middle Beach Lodge in Tofino the Emerald Lake Lodge is a hotel I would grab any chance stay here again
“Emeral Lake Wonderment”
Emerald Lake Lodge is a pristine slice of beauty and tranquility, throw in some great service and you will have a great experience. This is my third stay here and it never gets old. it is always charming and the service is great. The surroundings are breathtaking. we want to try it next time in summer to see if it is as stunning during the warm time of year. Even in the winter there is plenty to do at Emerald Lake but without hustle and bustle. This is a unanimouis thumbs up and I will return many times in the future.
“The perfect escape”
This hotel was rated second in Canada by Conde Nast. The location is ideal for the perfect weekend. No TVs or radios. A fireplace (where the staff supply you with all the firewood you need), stars at night and total silence. Christmas decorations throughout the original wood lodge and goumet chefs. No vehicles allowed near the lodge and you are shuttled back and forth. Perfect.
“romantic getaway”
Remote, quite and comfortable. Only negative - restaurant service was slow, althjough the food was extremely well prepared.
“A Great Escape”
This resort is just the place to relax, read and be one -on- one with nature as you enjoy the majestic views of the Canadian Rocky Mountains, the beautiful , peaceful Emeral Lake and the fresh air. Savor the food and forget about the hustle and bustle of your everyday life. In the early years of the Twentieth Century, you had to be a train passenger to experience a holiday in a resort in the Mountains....today, this experience is available to anyone who gets there....hikers, bikers, tourists and "almost" locals, from the western provinces and states.
“simply perfect”
The room was spacious but cozy feeling with the fireplace and lounging chairs, the private porch area to view the lake (and the occassional spotting of the playful pine martins in the woods). Beautiful setting, upscale restaurant, WONDERFUL hot tub with complete locker facilities...couldn't have been better.
“I would definitely go back. Restaurant service and food was excellent as well”
Fantastic facility in the wilderness of the Rocky Mountains. Lodge and cabins are a great choice for a quiet weekend (no TV or telephone). Surrounding scenery is breathtaking. Staff is extremely helpful and attentive. Restaurant menu and quality is excellent. Cross-country ski trails and snow-shoe trails are very well mantained.
“Heaven On Earth”
We stayed here for 7 nights...........when reading prior reviews to choose a location we were extremely impressed and are so very happy with our choice to stay here! Like the quiet/out-of-way location and not near all the hustle and bustle with the tour buses at Banff and Lake Louise. This was PERFECT and we definitely will come back!
“A Retreat in the Canadian Rockies”
You can't help but relax and let the world's worries slip away when you settle in at the Emerald Lake Lodge. The rooms are comfortable and homey and the crackling fire in your natural fireplaces provides a comforting warmth. The remoteness of the Lodge guarantees no intrusions from the noise and bustle of the outside world, as you enjoy the beautiful scenery. If this wasn't enough, the world-class restaurant(s) and the doting staff spoil you. You will leave in a better mood/outlook than you came. And you'll want to find a way to make the return visit. Wow!
