“Great hotel in downtown Banff”

I stayed here near the beginning of August 2011 on a business trip. I stayed in a King Loft Suite, and didn't spend much time in my hotel room. The staff at the front desk were courteous and accommodating. The room was very clean and comfortable. Bed was great. The TVs were OK, but I kind of expected flat screens in a hotel like that. The TV reception didn't seem very good though. Some of the channels had less-than-perfect picture and sound. Really, that's not a big problem, because if you're staying in Banff you're probably not there to watch TV...you're probably only watching TV for a little bit before bed. The breakfast was just OK. They had bread, bagels, fruit cocktail, yogurt, juice, cereal, etc. What I had tasted fine, but the selection was pretty limited. The location was perfect. If you're looking for a hotel right in downtown Banff, then this would be perfect. Lots of shops, restaurants, pubs, etc well within walking distance. Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel to others. I had a great experience there, even though I hardly spent any time at the hotel. I pointed out a few minor negative points, but those were very minor. I'd stay here again for sure. Enjoy!

“Central and Charming”

This is a great spot. We come to Banff nearly once a month, and this hotel is one of my faves. The hotel is built like a huge log cabin and it is charmingly decorated as such with cozy wool blankets, log beds and old photos of pioneers of the Rockies. It even comes complete with a wood burning fire in the lobby. The best feature of this hotel, though, is its location. It is right smack dab in the centre of Banff, surrounded by all of the shops and restaurants. Most of the hotels in Banff are either down the strip or even farther afield (which can be nice, depending on the experience you're after - the Banff Springs is awesome, for example), but for access to the town, this hotel can't be beat. There are other hotels right in town, but none with the same character, charm or quality. I highly recommend this hotel

“I'd definitely go back!”

This is an exceptional hotel, full of character, very comfortable and right in the centre of town with all the amenities you need close by. It was very comfortable, had everything (and more) I would expect a hotel of this type to offer. It made my trip out west even more enjoyable and I would happily recommend it to anyone I knew.

“Banff hotel boasts great service and location, location, location”

The staff always helped out, from the pre-flight calls to confirm their proximity to points of interest, to our arrival at their doorstep, to pointing us to the local grocery store (1 short block away). I'd read other reviewers that whined about their dissatisfaction with the continental breakfast. Reality check: it's in a basement floor, well-lit with a large TV on the wall. Nice continental selection. Nice staff keeping it stocked and clean. Yes, parking is tight, and if you're late coming back to the roost, you may have to park that short block away (very short block) which we didn't have to experience. Overall a great stay, highly recommended.

“Excellent care and concern”

Besides a wonderful room and free breakfast, we were delighted when the manager sent us across the street to a clinic on a Sunday morning just before checkout time when one of our party was ill. The doctor saw her immediately and sent her around the corner for medicine. The manager helped me get my car from the garage and my bags loaded. We lost not a moment's vacation time!

“Would definitely go back to this hotel”

Great location in downtown Banff. The hotel is simple with few frills but it was comfortable and clean & most importantly, the staff was friendly & helpful. The shower pressure left something to be desired but other than that everything was great. Loved our stay, we'd definitely return.

“Definitely recommended”

We were very impressed with Brewster Lodge as it was very clean, quiet, comfortable and customer service was excellent. Had a wide variety of good food for breakfast as well. We will definitely stay there the next time we are in the area.

We ended up in a suite with a huge tub, wonderful bed, and great view. I would highly recommend the hotel to anyone traveling to Banff.
