“Comfortable room - great view”
Our room overlooked the Bow river on the edge of town. It was quiet and relaxed. An Elk grazed outside our window. The room was big and comfortable with great amenities such as internet (although we had to pay extra for it) and a fridge. I am not sure it would be great in Summer as there did not seem to be air conditioning.
“Great view of the river”
I highly recommend the river view rooms with the balconies an large windows are great! Close to downtown, we parked and never use our car again. Staff is very helpfull
“Cheap but a good place to stay”
Hotel was worth every penny of the expedia price. You can go next door and use the hot tub and pool in the other hotel which is owned by the same people. If you are going and just need a place to crash its the perfect place!

The desk clerk was excellent service. So we felt very comfortable.
“Phenomenal Staff”
I picked the hotel first based on price because of the length I was going to be there, then the location to downtown Banff. When I arrived, I was given a main floor room as the elevator was going to be out of service for about a week. Then I was told there was no pool and gym available but could go to the local gym off site. The room was adequate, BUT the service was unbelievable. The front desk staff couldn't do enough for me, everything from supplying me with a map of Calgary to giving me some silverware from the clerk's own supply. The food in the main hotel across the parking lot was phenomenally good. Would I stay again....ABSOLUTELY...its all about how well you are treated isn't it?
“Perfect location”
Very quiet and clean. Perfectly located for shopping. Rooms cozy and comfortable. Main desk staff very friendly and accomodating.
“Great Place!”
We enjoyed our stay so much! The room was clean and neat and the view of the Bow River out our balcony was breathtaking! Every morning we had coffee on our balcony just admiring the view and scenery. It's a short walk to Banff Ave, but this gives makes it so quite and you feel like your not even in town! I highly recomend staying here...I know we will return!
“We love this hotel”
Frankly you simply won't find a better value and better located hotel in the whole of Banff. Cheap, clean, friendly and with access to all the facilities of the sister hotel which is right next door, this place is a steal. We got vouchers for 2 for 1 on the breakfast at the lodge, which meant it was great value (buffet and just pile the plate high!). The hotel looks quite basic (no fancy foyer) but in our room there was a big colour TV, clean and modern bathroom with great shower and loads of hot water. The staff on the front desk were extremely helpful, friendly, smart and professional. The rooms were quiet and the black out curtains very effective. Our room was big (two big beds, good sized sofa, coffee making facility, and as i said a big tv) and had a great view of the frozen river opposite. There was a thermostat in the room so we could have adjusted the temperature in the rooms ourselves but we never felt cold despite the minus 19 outside! As you can tell we loved it. If you want ultra-modern and all facilities on site, then go ahead and waste your money on a posh hotel which won't be better located. Did we mention the ski bus picks up at the sister hotel which is just 2 mins walk away? What about the jacuzzi and swimming pool - all accessible through the front or back door of the neighbouring hotel. This place made us smile every day - especially the price! Bargain, sale of the century, the price is right!!... but without a compromise in quality. I rest my case.
“Can't wait to go back”
Helpful, courteous & knowledgeable staff. Every room has beautiful view. Could walk to restaurants, river trails, museums, country store. On the edge of Banff; quiet location. RV parking across the street.
“Good hotel”
All facilities good - but breakfast at associated hotel - Banff Park Lodge- is not cheap - go to Homestead Inn on Lynx Street, opp main entrance to Banff Park Lodge. Also, when booking, ask for a river view room - ours overlooked the car park although not noisy.
