Banff Y is hostel style accoms. I stayed in a nice sized room with one double bed and shared washroom. Big windows with beautiful mountain views. Great location, right on the bow river, with walking pathway right out your door. And just across the bridge to downtown. Breakfast took forever in the morning, but tasted good. I would stay here again.

Very good front desk, not luxurious but clean room, quiet and in great location. Good place if you don't want to spend the crazy rates offered by other Banff Hotels and all you're looking for is to lay your head to rest. I recommend a visit to the Sundance Bistro Restaurant in the Hotel for breakfast. Really delicious(Spa Breakfast)!! I will be back!!

The lobby is very nice. People were friendly. The room was small but clean. The hotel had all the services we could possibly need on our one-night-stay. And there's a computer for internet access in the lobby. If you're looking for a hotel just to spend the night, or if you are traveling on a budget, then why pay more? This hotel is among the cheapest you'll find, but it's right in Banff (not Canmore, not close to Banff, it's right IN Banff) and it's nice and clean. I would stay there again.
“Decent for the price.”
We booked this hotel because it was cheap and we were in town for a few nights. The room we stayed in was clean and comfortable. The bed was squeaky and there was no bath, only a shower but overall we were very satisfied. Would recommend it again.
“very poor hotel”
Very poor hotel, the rooms are small and the shower + toilets are very small This is the first time that i face the situation that No Tv in the room. Furniture sheets and towls do not give a good feeling It is more like a youth hostel than an hotel
“We will not go back.”
The bed is not comfortable. They make bed every third day, we were so surprised. Bathroom is so dirty, they do not maintain and clean at all. Only clean are towels and linen. Thanks God.
