“Wonderful Getaway”
From the moment we checked into the hotel the staff were fantastic. Very friendly, accommodating and enthusiastic! We dined at Peppers Bistro and Pub, which was staffed only by one waitress whom doubled as the Bar tender. Even though she was very overworked, she was pleasent and apologetic for the slow service. Our family was not in a rush so we were not put out by these circumstances. We will definately stay here again.
“Was great for travelling with several people”
This hotel was nice because I was travelling with some friends from Germany and was glad to have had the option of finding a hotel that would accommidate all of us having our own room for privacy sleeping. The road beside hotel is a little noisy for sleeping with the window open if you are on that side of hotel.
“Great for Families”
Great hotel for families. All rooms have been re-done and the kitchen very functional. Easy access to Banff. Very clean, good facilities.
“Loved the hotel ameneties and location. Would love to go again.”
Hotel has an excellent location near Banff downtown. Room with Kitchen and on site restaurant, swimming pool, hot tub and tennis courts is just perfect.
“Great for family”
I stayed at this hotel with my family since we had a medical conference at the hotel. I had stayed here about 10 years ago also. I was really impressed with the suites since they were spacious enough for 2 children and they were recently renovated. The facilities for my wife and kids were great including the pool and hot-tub while I was at the conference. The hotel was also very quiet since it was "off the beaten path" yet it was only a 5 minute drive into Banff. There was also access to hiking and biking trails and wildlife (deer, elk) beside the hotel. The conference facilities were excellent. I would definitely recommend this hotel for young families. The only drawback would be that it is farther away from Banff downtown, so if you like the nightlife probably not the place to be. The hotel staff were also very accommadating with a late check out due to my conference.
“Wonderful Service”
When we arrived, there was a mildewy smell in the otherwise very clean bathroom. They came very quickly to clean it but the odour remained. The unit was very cute and EXTREMELY reasonably priced, but we were UPGRADED the moment we reported that the odour remained. We ended up in a beautiful loft suite, 1 1/2 baths, living room and full kitchen. Then the power went out due to a lightning strike in the area. The staff were completely in control. Firewood (normally requiring a fee) and flashlights were quickly provided for all guests. Any request (and we had a few!) was quickly, efficiently and CHEERFULLY responded to. A very good example of what service is all about. Thank you!
“Nice place”
We have stayed in Banff many times and this is a nice place. The bedrooms are small in that there is enough room to walk around the bed but nowhere to put your luggage. Better to unpack into the drawers provided or leave your luggage in the hall. The only issue that we did have was that the walls are paper thin. With three kids we were always very wary of the fact that we may be bothering others but it was hard to stay quiet (even walking or talking can be heard through the walls). The pool was great and well maintained.
“Excellent choice for a hotel in Banff”
The Banff Rocky Mountain Resort was a comfortable, friendly, good-value choice. The rooms were tastefully decorated and pleasant. The pool and hot-tub were great. The only potential drawback is that the hotel is a short drive from the town centre (though a hotel shuttle is available). The hotel restaurant was closed (due to short-staffing) but there was an informal pub with good food on site. I'd definitely go back.
“Great little retreat”
Nice to be able to have a real fire and cozy up on the couch, could up-date the TV.
“Great winter get-away, would go back for sure”
I got this place because it was extremely reasonable and came with a full kitchen which helped save money on meals. I was really astounded at the quality. I've stayed in many places and this was right up there. Great location just outside the town of bannff but still close to the highway and part of banff ave. Kitchen appliances were all quite new and worked great. Bathroom, bedroom and living room were all in great condition and looked to be maintained quite well and often. The bed was comfortable and access to the pool and hottubs were great as well. The only downside was that I was on the ground floor and you could definitely hear when the people above were walking around but apart from that couldn't hear their voices and wasn't that big of an issue but the only negative I could come up with as the overall stay was fantastic and would definitely try and stay there again when I head back to the area!
