“Great value and comfort”
We paid a great price for a nice 2 bedroom unit. It's in a great location. The bed and bedding were very comfortable. My only complaints were the unit itself was older and the kitchen could have been better stocked. It had a flat screen tv and dvd player and wifi which was nice. We had a couple of minor issues that were taken care of right away by staff. Overall I would recommend it and will stay again.
“Condo 5 min from Canmore, 10 min from Banff”
The Banff Boundary Lodge is a well-maintained, older condo complex a 5 minute drive from Canmore. It is a great value for the cost; we stayed in a 2 bedroom unit which had space for up to 6 people that cost less than half what you would pay for a condo in Canmore. It is just off the highway but very quiet. The scenery is lovely and it is convenient to Banff as well. I appreciate having a kitchen so I don't have to eat out for every meal; it is also nice to have a dishwasher. However, there was no paper towel, oven mitts, or cooking spoon (wooden or otherwise). The other supplies were very new. One complaint is that our unit must not have been used for a while, because there were dead flies in the bathroom, bedroom and kitchen. Housekeeping should do a final sweep of the rooms before they are rented. There were also dishes (clean) in the dishwasher. Otherwise, it was very clean and while the finishings are a little dated and inexpensive (no granite and stainless here!), it has been kept well. Overall I would recommend this hotel. It is a good value and since you'll likely drive in, close to everything you would want to visit in the area.
“A reasonable place to stay if you accept the drawbacks”
We were only here for one night. It's a clean place, but generally old and dated. The location gives easy access to the Banff National Park. There are a several nice restaurants in the Canmore area. (Great Korean BBQ, for instance!) The people above us had 3 dogs (three!) that were running around in their unit noisily until early morning. The living room furniture is not comfortable. If highway traffic noise bothers you, consider another place. We weren't bothered. There are lots of concrete steps to navigate to get around the grounds. It's not a good place for folks with mobility issues. For a resort-like facility, the TV channel selection was awful. There was no access to NHL hockey, for instance. Boo! Would we stay here again for a short or longer stay? Probably not. The main drawbacks for us are the uncomfortable furniture and allowing apparently unlimited numbers of pets into the units.
“Great for groups and gatherings”
A great home away from home- perfect for a getaway with friends and family. Everyone can have their own room but can get together for meals & drinks. Great setup and views of the rockies. Easy drive to Canmore or Banff. Great neighbourhood for short walks.
“Good Quality Price!”
The price is good for the quality. Very convenient to have a condo instead of a hotel room...
“xyz”
Our TV didn't work properly. It had a white snowy picture. That was a quick fix. Our toilet leaked and we used towels to mop the water up. It was fixed the next day after noon. When we came back at 3 it was fixed. We had no heat. Their response was it takes a long time to kick in. We had already been there 4 hrs. By 10 pm we had some heat. They stopped by to check if it was working. They said turn the heat down as if everyone has it on high, it will blow the boiler. I wouldn't want to stay there when it was very cold in the winter. It would be very chilly in the room.
“Hot and noisy”
The unit was very hot (no A/C) and if you open any window the noise from the highway and the railroad is hardly bearable. You need to be very tired to sleep with the windows open, but we were, so it worked out for us as price was very reasonable. Unfortunately, you can hear the highway and especially the railroad traffic almost anywhere in Canmore.
“Great Hotel..”
I will definately go back to this Lodge whenever I am going be in the mountains. Also will recomend it to others. Very satisfied and the service was excellent. Also the rooms are very comfortable and clean.
“Great place to stay”
very comfortable and clean.Front desk service very good. Will stay there next time in Canmore.
“Very good price for a decent place”
Very quiet and not that far from Banff.
