"Great for kids...."
I really like this place, especially with kids....but please put a nice new white duvee on the beds. Not a thin comforter that looks like it is still there from the 70's. I get that they aren't going to put a lot into the rooms, but a nice, clean and new looking bed is a must. The bed itself is great, as are the sheets, but get with the times and get a white duvee with sheets covering it. Also, put 4 pillows on a bed like every other hotel in the western hemisphere. I asked for two more pillows, and they came back with one (apparently "all they had available")....crazy.... If they could do these things, it would be 5 out of 5.

Hidden Ridge Resort

The hidden ridge resort is a wonderful getaway, just minutes drive from the downtown center (approx. $10 cab ride). Facilities are wonderful, especially the outdoor pool/hot tub. My only issue is that the resort does not provide robes/house coats in-room for travelling to and from the pool. There are changing rooms near the pool but I just think robes would be more ideal. We did have a wood burning fireplace in our room, with included logs, however there was no newspaper/kinling to actually get the fire going.

"Nice Hotel, Front desk staff a little incompetent"
I booked this stay through expedia and made the request to have two beds. When I arrived to the hotel I was told that we would only get one king sized bed, and when I said I requested two beds I was told by the front desk girl that that's what you get for booking through expedia, and receiving the reduced rate. What reduced rate? It was an almost $400 a night room. I was not pleased. We ended up getting put in a booger room to accommodate a roll out bed. Once we arrived to our room we discovered there was actually a murphy bed in the room, so a roll out bed was no longer required. The front desk girl obviously didn't know what she was doing, we didn't need a roll out bed at all, and there was a room with two beds available after being told there wasn't. When you pay such a large amount for a room for a night, you expect to be treated a little better then pond scum because you booked through expedia and not the Fairmont website directly. However, just because the front desk staff was incompetent, every other person we encountered from the Valet, to the cleaning staff, to the waiters during our fancy dinner were fantastic :)

"nice hotel,low price, high quality"
I was very surprise when I arrived to the hotel because the price for one night was cheap so i did not expect much .At the beginning, the address which on the website was wrong and I couldn't find the place. and I called to the hotel and no one reply the call. I was very upset and a little bit mad. After I finally arrived, the staff actually was very nice and pretty. Since there was no elevator in the hotel, when my bf and I went through the lobby with our three heavy suitcase and 2 snowboard bags she even ask do we need her help. If she was a man I definitely would say yes. ><

"Nice and clean. "
Everything was great. The pool is the only thing I found odd. You feel like you're in an aquarium. But it's a nice size.

"A good hotel to stay in close to everything"
We really liked how close it was to everything. We walked everywhere. And we caught the bus just out front to take us to the Gondola. The only thing we all agreed on was that it would have been better to have the updated bedspreads and linens. Our room was very clean. And staff was friendly. Great price as well. We would stay again.

"Room was clean and a great size!"
5 of us stayed in one of the loft rooms (max capacity 8). The room was clean and a really good size, with kitchenette, deck, & two bathrooms. The view was awesome as well as the view from the indoor heated pool/hot tub. I recommend staying here and will be back!
