When I booked the room for my anniversary I asked if they did anything special. Once there I walked into "rose petals" leading from the door to the bed and on the bed itself with towels as kissing swans. I was very happy with what they did and very much appreciate it. Breakfast was decent and room had some minor facilities issues (wall paper ripped up/stained, etc) But overall, good for the price

Nice, but not what I reserved

The hotel was nice. The staff was considerate. My problem was I reserved a room with 2 queen beds and got a room with a king (which was small for a king) and a pull out sofa. That size doesn't work for 2 adults and 3 kids. Plus the rate for the king was cheaper when I booked and it showed as unavailable because there were too many guests to fit. I was offered a roll away bed, but declined since the room was too small for one. So I paid more and got less. I feel I should get what I reserve and pay for, this trip I did not.

Hotel stay

Cons: They need to have a generator and more lighting when there is a power outage
All was fine until the area lost power. All the hotels in the area were with out but this particular hotel did not have a generator and the emergency lighting was not working in the stairwells. It was very dangerous. The hotel serves breakfast but they were unable to have food due to no power. We ended up leaving because the conditions were not good.

Lots of space and friendly staff

Pros: The staff were great and rooms large, breakfast was in an attractive space
Cons: Avoid using plastic, non-recyclable plates and utensils for the breakfasts. Instead use starch or bamboo please. Increase letter size on decaf jug
Location: very little
Very helpful staff on all three shifts. Lots of space in the suite with large desk for spreading out on.

Good Location For Access to BWI

Booked a two night stay [21-22 July] with the expectations of being able to have a warm/hot shower. On the evening of our arrival I overheard a military member [seemed to be a squad or company inhabiting the facility] stating that there wasn't any hot water for showers. The front desk staff stated it was the hot water heater recovering. The answer does not hold water (no pun)... I am not staying with a family member I am paying to stay and expect a certain level of service from the hotel staff and facilities. This morning the hot water heater must still be recovering because AGAIN there wasn't any hot water at 0630 AM.I therefore assume IF the hotel was at max capicity there would not be enough hot water to go around. Another point of contention, the pool is only open from 5-10 PM [1700-2200] Mon-Fri, different hours on the weekend. WHY? They do not provide a lifeguard, therefore it can not be a labor cost... why can't I get in the pool at 12:00PM or 3:00PM? I appreciate not allowing the pool to be open unlimited hours like 4:00AM... but to limit access during the normal business day/ hours is mind boggling. The hot breakfast was fine, a very attentive staff member was present to keep the items refilled and clean. Overall, ther are better options in this area that will meet and exceed your desires.
