“Pleasant stay”
The hotel was better than expected. We were really pleased with what we got for the price we paid. Our only complaint is that everytime you asked them a questions, their answer is "I don't know". It was getting frustrating cause we weren't even asking anything tricky.
“Value for money”
Great buffet breakfast, quiet relaxing hotel, excellent location, friendly and helpful staff.
“good hotel”
This hotel is very well located, facing the sea, in an area with plenty to do and see around and close to BUMBU BALI, the famous restaurant and cooking school. The infinity pool is attractive. the restaurant is nice too, but food could be improved. staff in helfull. The only bad thing is the very strong smell of humidity is the bathroom, that expends to the entire room and is very disturbing.
“Relaxing Break”
The pool and the direct beach location are the main attractions here. All the rooms face onto the 75m pool which is almost like a courtyard and have balconies. At the end of the pool you walk directly onto the beach. I have to say that this hotel is actually in the area called Tengong Benoa which is further up from nusa dua. Although there is nice promenade along the beach to nsa dua. All in all the rooms are nice and cleaned everyday. Comfortable beds with tea and coffee making facilities provided. The only downside is the tv in the room is a bit small and old fashioned. Breakfast is in the restaurant facing the pool and if a buffet style with a mixture of Asian and continental style choices and is worth getting up for. If you're after a beach holiday then this is a good choice as the there is a free shuttle to kuta and nusa dua.
“Not impressed”
One aspect I was not pleased with... I was disappointed to discover that the hotel will not allow any pork products on the hotel menu because it is owned by a devout Muslim man from Jakarta who will not allow any pork products on the hotel menu. I paid for the breakfast as part of the holiday package thinking that I would be able to eat bacon and eggd in the morning, or get a pork chop or pork sausage at some stage but it was ruled out by hotel policy. This means that I could not have any proper bacon with my cooked breakfasts, even though other meat products were available, I could not get a pork chop/steak or a pork sausage at the hotel. This should have been made clear when I booked the hotel. Limiting the menu on Religious grounds is unacceptable to me. There should have been information available to me stating that pork products would not be available at any time. It should be made clear to all potential buyers. I will not recommend this hotel to anyone because if they want a decent cooked breakfast with fried bacon or a pork sausage, they will never get it at this resort., and the hotel does not make it known to potential customers.
“could have done better for the money”
service was almost non existent, one had to repeatedly ask for face towels or for tea and coffee to be provided and there appeared to be a hotel shortage of closet hangers despite requesting them.there was no staff pool service for 12 of the 14 days we stayed.beach chairs around pool and on sand were never prepared like all other adjacent hotels and you had to find the towels as no one was in attendance.the one time we requested an early morning wake up call for a tour pickup it did not happen only a lame apology was offered. similarly scheduled shuttle services did not happen.airport pickup and return was at our expense and not provided, very disappointing given that there appeared to be lots of staff but seemed badly or incompetently managed.on a personal level the staff were always courteous and friendly. overall the lack of amenities ie no tour adviser on premises, and lack of wifi in rooms and poor overall service gave a lack lustre impression of a hotel in decline. it looked great online and on the upside breakfast was good and its location on the beach with direct access from the beautiful pool was great, but more a 2 star experience rather than a 4 star.there appeared to be a lack of creative management to enthuse guests to stay for dinner and was as a result constantly empty or with only one table of diners and certainly not encouraging for a nite in. the 2day cafe across the road and the sari restarunt provided good clean meals and service as an alternative.
“Misleading Advertisement”
The Oasis Beach hotel promises a lot but in reality delivers very little and the $3 I’m investing in their very expensive Wi-Fi I hope will be repaid by potential clients being forewarned or at least improvements in their services. What is advertised as a spa hotel is really a rather basic motel-style property adjoining better and no more expensive hotels. Be warned and avoid is my suggestion. Specifically, the rooms are tired and my wife and I were unwilling to walk on the floors without shoes on. They’ve used some form of marble-type floor that has stained badly and does not clean effectively, and this issue extends through the rooms. The general decor is cheap rather than functional and whilst the hotel itself looks good externally and was clearly designed with a good eye, it was built with limited thought for ongoing wear and renovation. It feels like someone’s personal hobby or project but sadly someone with limited experience of running a hotel. We took an upgraded room but realise now that all rooms are the same – the upgrade, whilst not expensive, merely means we get a bath tub rather than a shower. Small things matter – all televisions have a flat screen so their Expedia brief is technically correct but omitted is that the rest of the TV, hanging from the wall as in a hospital, dates from twenty years ago and is a foot thick. The hotel is really just a decorative but impractical swimming pool with some changing facilities attached at the side.
