“Peace and relaxation at The Mansion”
My wife and I were amazed to find that the Mansion was exactly that and not just a name, it is a large and beautiful mansion house but more than that it is an art gallery and filled with museum artifacts. It is utter serenity and the perfect place to spend a few days in relaxing and beautiful surroundings, the staff are so pleasant and helpful that you get the impression that perhaps you are the only person there. Breakfast is waiter service with tea served in Royal Albert china and just to highlight the level of service, we wanted to go into Ubud with the hourly shuttle but none appeared. I asked at the desk and straight away a Mercedes limousine was brought and took us into town, they ascertained at what time we would return and at the time we chose a stretch Mercedes Limo brought us back, if you are going to Ubud (Sayan) then try The Mansion. it is quiet and not a place you can walk out from to anything interesting, transport into town is readily available and there is everything you need in the hotel, two lovely pools, jaccuzis and massage parlours etc. A good place to be between stays at say Kuta and perhaps Nusa Dua.
“Would go back to Bali just to stay here again”
The architecture, the food, the staff--there was really nothing that disappointed here. It was such a pleasure staying here that it was actually difficult to leave the hotel grounds and explore Bali! And this is the first time I've felt this way about any hotel anywhere.
“A beautiful hotel”
A beautiful hotel with great rooms and the best staff, an hourly free shuttle to Ubud, we only wished we could have spent a few more nights there.
“The Mansion Hotel and Psa, Ubud, Bali”
Wow!! What a place - as soon as you drive through the manned front gates into the estate like front entrance you can feel the magic. I can honestly say that The Mansion Hotel is a special place and ideal for couples as it so romantic. Attention to detail here is admirable and the staff are effecient without being overbearing. We had 4 magical nights in the Governor Suite - a big room with a 4 poster king bed and large bathroom. The food at the inhouse restaurant was really good and fresh with a Vietnamese feel to it although once in Ubud there are so many good places to eat , eg Lamak and 3 Monkeys. The Spa offered many different massages and treatments, one of which is free - prepaare to strip down completely though as they do tend to cover most areas. Very good. Theres a free shuttle bus to Ubud almost every hour - if not then 50,000 Rupiahs will get you to Ubud. I cant recommend this place highly enough - it was a holiday to remember for sure. Have a good time!
“Can't wait to go back!!!”
Me and my husband went there during our Honey Moon. Friends told us stay in Ubud, it's the wonderful place ever. We listened and choose this hotel. We love it. It's a masion of an old general. I saw the most stars when I swam at night time in the pool. Waking up by roosters' songs, and enjoying the best spa in the world. the facilities of hotel are all great. will difinately go back!

“Can't wait to go back”
It was the nicest, most friendly place I've ever stayed. I truly loved my experience and will definitely be staying there again and recommending it to everyone. A lovely breakfast was served by the infinity pool each day, a chef would make me a vegetarian omelet on request and they'd bring me green tea, all the staff are polite and say hello and smile each time you walk past. The gardens are kept beautifully maintained, my room was a deluxe room and it was huge and quiet. My friend stayed in the honeymoon suite and it was also lovely, with it's own private pool and enclosed verandah. As I was checking out the staff even confimed my flight for me and printed out my e ticket. This place was worth every cent.
“"Trip to the past"”
The Mansion Hotel has been a "mansion" in the past century and it's still in a family ownership. Hence the Rolls Royce parked in the driveway for the owner when she's visiting Bali. The quality of service, dining and surroundings is truly five star! The apartments are the original "guest" villas and because of their age and the climate there is a little bit of mustiness. The hotel is located about 7 minutes drive from Ubud. There is a complimantary shuttle every hour. It was a very quiet, scenic and romantic location away from busy Ubud.
“Great Introduction to Bali”
When you arrive at the Mansion Resort Hotel it feels like a journey 100 years back in time. You arrive at an old-style mansion with beautiful grounds in the small village of Sayan, surrounded by rice fields. The Indochine restaurant at the hotel looks like a restaurant from a period film from a 100 years ago - in a good sense - in that it has a nostalgic, retro vibe. Phenomenal service whether at the reception, spa, restaurant or pool. Very helpful and friendly personnel. The hotel is a short drive (10 minutes) away from Ubud, and you can catch one of the free shuttles (every 2 hours).
“Peaceful and easy drive into central Ubud.”
We thought the Mansion was great value for money, a la carte cooked breakfast each morning was included in the price, beautiful pools, extremely friendly and helpful staff...free shuttle bus to and from Ubud ran every 2 hours. We were very happy here.
