My second visit to the Grand Bali although it’s been 10 years apart. The property is really showing signs of ageing and needs a thorough update. No wash cloths in the bathroom on arrival. Asked reception but was told they don’t supply them anymore??? Phone system in all the rooms were “out of order” the entire stay…I asked what if there was an emergency and we needed to alert reception….they just smiled and said it I’ll be ok??? 3 days there was no coffee available at breakfast “machine broken” The pool bar was never attended by anyone so if you wanted drinks/food you had to go inside the restaurant to order. However, like most hotels in Bali the staff were very accommodating and friendly. *NOTE* there are no elevators at this hotel so if you have any trouble climbing stairs make sure you don’t book a 3rd floor room.
