“Fantastic Staff”
Firstly the staff are extremely friendly, always smiling and only too happy to help you. We had a bungalow near the pool which was large with a big bathroom (combined shower/bath only drawback). It was clean and very comfortable. If booking a bungalow ask for one near the pool which have a better outlook and location. Wifi is free but can be slow . While we were there did have downtime regularly. Pool area great with swim up bar manned by happy/courteous staff. The only downfall is the quality of the food. Breakfast - not bad, with the standard fruit, omelettes/eggs cooked to order - the best choice. Other hot food was less impressive with fried rice/noodles being standard offerings. Also available were various fried vegetables (who has vegetables for breakfast) and small sausages/french toast/pancakes - OK. Cereal was either cornflakes or rice bubbles and some suspect yoghurt!!!! The A-la-Carte menu was OK but most items (except sandwiches) were over cooked, dry and not appetising. However with all the other eateries nearby this was not a big issue. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and I feel this was mainly due to the wonderful staff.
“best hotel for location and price”
fantastic fantastic fantastic. such a bargain and right on the beach. Can't wait to go back and we will definitely stay at the Puri Saron! Great deal with Expedia for this hotel too!
“Great Location, Wonderful Hotel”
We couldnt have been more happy with our choice of this hotel for this holiday to bali. we have stayed in the area a number of times at other hotels but this rates as the best one we have stayed at. Yes it is not a 5 star hotel but it is everything you need to enjoy a holiday with a Family that included Teenages and a 4 year old, beach access and great staff who went out of their way to help. We have another trip booked shortly and we intend to change our current hotel booking to stay at this hotel again. Book the bungalow rooms, big and roomy with big beds.
“great beach-side location”
Great beach location Seminyak is a much better location than Kuta and Legian. The suprise was all the beach-side cafes with their coloured bean bags, Balinese umbrellas and lights for sunset each night. The hotel rooms are ageing gracefully and can be noisy. Also, there are no twin beds in the deluxe rooms. Gardens are lovely and there is a good pool.
“Mixed feelings”
Location is great - pool and gardens excellent - room condition quite rundown especially bathroom - no light over vanity, shower head spraying everywhere and water flooding bathroom and around toilet after showers. Power socket hidden behind cupboard, no towel rails in bathroom and no lock on my bedroom door until I complained. Could be a great hotel but needs to be maintained.
“You get what you pay for!”
Great location! You can walk out of the hotel onto the beach and straight into restaurants and markets. Ku De Ta is a short 10 minute walk up the beach, along with other great cafes and bars. The hotel itself is cool, but the rooms are a bit run down, our toilet was very hard to flush and the TV's are older style with few channels. If you are on a budget, it definitely does the trick!
“Beach front follies”
Good quiet location staff very frendly service good rooms tired deluxe type very noisy
“First time in Bali”
I requested a double/queensized bed however on arrival we recieved two twin single beds. The toilet was very old therefore the flush would only work on occasion. We eventually got moved to another room after telling the reception twice that the toilet didnt flush, we got moved to a room where the two twin beds were pushed together. It was our first time in Bali so it wasnt the end of the world we were just happy to be there and the accomodation was reasonably cheap however I did expect better quailty and service for what we paid - had i known i would have invested the extra $50-$100 a night for a 4-5 star hotel like 'The Haven' which is not much more a night. I can say however that the location is amazing just on legian beach where there are an array of beachside bars/restaurants. La Plancha is just outside which we went to a few nghts. It is easily between Seminyak and Kuta so easy to get to both. The pool is really nice and the barmen were lovely to talk to.

Seminyak - Legian Beach, Indonesia: Legian is a notch off the pace of Kuta. Beachfront hotels, restaurants, shops, and nightlife are all part of the mix, along with locals, expats, and tourists who head to the beach to cool off, play sport, and relax. Seminyak further north, is the most upmarket of the west coasts beaches and offers a relaxed world among rice paddies and sleepy beaches.
