“Two thumbs up!”
A fantastic resort, tucked away from the hustle & bustle of Bali, with its own beach. Perfect for total R&R, where the staff are courteous and helpful; the service is very attentive; the pools are amazing; and the views are just breathtaking. Everything is very clean, and the grounds are very well-kept. Just a pity there's a big construction site next to the resort at the moment (which is out of the resort's control). So, don't be surprised if you hear construction noise, but at least it doesn't start too early, and normally finishes around 5pm. Also, you may see some rubbish in the water, which I assume is blowing down from the construction site into the water at the beach, so I highly recommend that you swim in the lagoon pools instead. Other reviews are true in saying that the resort are a bit far from shops and restaurants, however, it's really just a 10-15 minute cab ride from the resort, at about $4 each way (35-40k Rupiahs), so nothing to complain about. The resort offers free shuttles to the Bali Collection shopping mall AND to the DFS Galleria & shopping complex in Kuta. If your purpose for the holiday is to shop at markets and eat out often, then it's probably best to stay in Seminyak area, but if the main purpose is for pure relaxation, 5-star treatment, enjoying panoramic views of the ocean and spectacular turquoise waters then the Nikko is the perfect place. Upgrade to the Club Lounge access and enjoy all the benefits. Live like royalty - it's worth it!
“Very Nice”
This is a beautiful place. It is very affordable. The scenery is amazing. It is out of the city but not too far. The restaurants, service, cleanliness was perfect. There is nothing more to say. I couldnt have asked for a better place to spend two weeks.
“beautifull hotel will go back”
Nice staff, very kind and helpfull beautifull spa and qualified masseur swimming pool and beach very relaxing
“drop dead gorgeous nikko bali”
it's a bit pricey but well worth it for the gorgeous panoramoic views. its a huge resort where every turn is a photo opprtunity. food is excellent buty again... pricey. its a good hotel to finally splurge in on your last 3-4 days in bali. the private beach facing the indian ocean is hypnotic. very friendly staff that treated me & my husband w/ loving care. breakfast buffet was delicious & plentiful. theres also a shuttle to the bali collections mall in nusa dua for some last minute luxury shopping. this htel is great for the ultimate in effortless relaxation before your hectic flight back home. theres so much to see in bali that you really do have to come back several times to see it all. the entire island is so picturesque that its almost unreal. vibrant green rice terraces, white sand & black sand beaches, colorful batiks, and intricate hindu wood carvings, and the templ;es! oh my... the temples are something else. there are literally thousands of them in bali. each family has a temple plus each village has a main community temple plus 2 or even 3 more in some towns. wait... did i mention the monkeys in ubud & the sacred temples of uluwatu? or the serenity of mount batur. its all there. we went for 2 weeks and i still didnt get to see everything. there is so much to see, i'm telling you... bali is paradise! i can't wait to go back. this time its for yoga, dolphins, and balinese cooking classes.
“Perfect place for a relaxing stay”
We had a weekend getaway & Nikko was perfect! Quiet location, lots of pool room & great massages...water slide received lots of use! Only draw back was the ocean was littered with seaweed & had a quick drop off with mucky sea floor. We have been spoiled with the Gold Coast in Australia.
“A Definite Luxury Experience”
Beautiful hotel with gourgeous views of the Indian ocean built dramatically along a cliff. If you look at the pictures from the nikko website, it's actually better in person. Lots to do in Bali, the hotel itself is on the very edge of Nusa Dua so not within walking distance of anything but the golf course. All the restaurants will come and pick you up for free and there are shuttles to the Nusa Dua mall and Kuta Galleria mall. Hiring a car and driver not very expensive for some days for sightseeing
“Not too much impressed. Too far away from any other places in Bali.”
Hotel is OK but not too good. The truth is there is always enough water level in the ocean to swim. even at a low tide. that's true and that's the advantage. the disadvantage is remote location of the hotel. for people who like active travelings, tours, sightseeing the hotel will be not very convenient to get to any place in Bali as it is far away, takes a lot of time and subsequently costly. if you are going to take tours and sightseeing then go to Kuta or Sanur or Jimbaran area. the breakfast menu is quite limited. however the hotel is nice, clean and the area is beautiful. anyway i would not recommend my friends to go to Nusa Dua. Nikko has nothing to do with that. I do not find Nusa Dua the best and privilege resort area in Bali. Nothing special and as i say, too remote from any entertainments, forests, lakes, rafting, volcanoes, whatever you may wish to see in Bali.
“Nusa Dua good for some just not for me”
Having just come back from a week at the Nikko Bali I would have to say the Hotel does a decent job of what it is meant to but that Nusa Dua didnt work well for us and within Nusa Dua there are better options. The Nikko is very comfortable albeit with signs of aging, with a great staff and beautiful grounds and an active pool scene. It is however an isolated hotel in that it is in the Nusa Dua resort area and is the most remote of the Nusa Dua hotels. A shuttle can run you to Kuta or more central Nusa Dua or cabs can run you around but you do feel you are away from anything or anyone else and certainly not in Bali. The beach is disappointing as well ( not great for swimming and somewhat dirty). All considered I would say there are better choices in Nusa Dua if the tourists only feel of Nusa Dua was your thing. If a comfortable stay, good service (although pricey by Bali standards), a nice pool and a resort you don't want to leave much will suffice then the Nikko may work well for you.It just didnt work well for us.
“Great family Hotel.”
Beautiful hotel with great amenities enjoyed well by adults and kids alike. Great service catering to diverse range of tourists with good food and relaxing activity choices. It is in a good quiet spot with good security, but a bit far from a lot of sights in Bali. Rooms are great and have a view, but with kids you need to be prepared to squeeze in with them. Kids especially loved the beach, pools, water slide, and jungle club.
“Amazing Place”
Nikko is a very nice hotel located on the Nusa Dua beach it is not very far from Kuta and the other places, i would highly recommend it
